I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering furniture from here. We ordered our furniture on October 16, 2010, was told the furniture should arrive in 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, I started calling and got multiple excuses and promises that the furniture would arrive "soon" or "within 7 days". On February 15, 2011, I finally requested a refund in which I recieved. Who knows when the furniture would have really arrived. If you are waiting for furniture, don't listen to the excuses, get a refund and take your business elsewhere. If you look at their receipt, they make you initial a disclosure not holding them accountable for "manufacturing delays". Sounds pretty shady to me. It should not take almost 5 months to recieve nursery furnature period.

I just called there to find out about car seats. I'm the grandmother so I haven't used a car seat in a very long time. Things change. I had read about the infant car seat carriers and convertible car seats and wanted more information. I was told they had only infant carriers, had no convertible seats and they weren't going to carry convertible car seats. That makes no sense at all. She said that is what she was told to say! After reading most of these reviews and having been in the store a few months ago, I think this store is going down the tubes. Or going out of business. Who ever heard of carrying only one brand (Italian) and only one type of car seat?! They are in the baby and big kid business! What a joke.

The Company NEVER follows up with a status even when they say they will do so. Although we had read the horrible reviews about Baby World, we had 2 friends who had positive experiences so we decided to order $1100 worth of furniture from them. We placed our order on 5/15/10; our due date is 9/25/10, giving us plenty of time. The owners promised our furniture would be in within 8-12 weeks. At 12 weeks out I called and Lou would only say that it was not yet at the warehouse. He did not offer to call to see when it would be there, and would not give me a date when I could expect it at Baby World.
I did not hear from him at 13 weeks out, so called him again. Again, Lou said that he would neither call the manufacturer nor the warehouse on my behalf. He also denied my request to have the delivery fee waived. At 17 weeks, we went into Baby World in person. Lou was obnoxious- he demonstrated no empathy and horrible professional skills. We ultimately demanded that he cancel our whole order. We then ordered the exact furniture from BAMBIBABY on-line- it arrived in 6 DAYS for $90 LESS.

We didn't feel too pressured during our shopping and felt good when we first made our purchase.

We were told 6-8 weeks delivery in the store, with an 8-12 delivery estimate stamped on our receipt. When we heard nothing at 12 weeks, I called and was told our furniture was on the truck and should be in in the next week or so. After 2 weeks, I followed up only to find out that our items were in stock and should arrive any day.

I had friends who'd had similar issues with the store and they had contacted the manufacturer. So, I got the manufacturer contact info from Baby World. I found out from the manufacturer that my order was not, as I had been told, in stock and was still on backorder.

After several calls to Baby World and the Manufacturer, I received part of my order (crib and bookcase) after 19 weeks, and the dressed at 20 or 21 weeks. The crib came days before our daughter was born, the the dresser came after her arrival.

We did end up getting free delivery, installation and a conversion kit, but only after asking for these things. The customer service and follow up was appalling. As a first-time parent, you have enough to worry about and this only added undue stress. Several times, the store told me they would call me back, only to hear nothing. There were no apologies, nothing. The furniture is great, but it was a complete nightmare dealing with this company!

I had a friend who ordered her furniture from Guys and Dolls in Denver. They price-matched Baby World and her furniture came in about 6 weeks. DO NOT waste your time with Baby World - they are miserable to deal with!

We bought furniture for my daughter here 5 years ago. I was going to go back with the birth of my son but then I read the previous reviews and remembered our last experience. As stated by other customers we ordered a crib and dresser set and were told 8-12 weeks. When it did arrive (week 17) it was missing a part! We never got it until after our daughter was born because guess what, we had to wait another 8-12 weeks. This store might have great prices but its not worth the hassle. We are shopping online this time!!

We went in and Andi & Lou were so helpful and great salespeople. They had nice furniture and affordable prices. We decided to purchase a crib w/ conversion kit, a dresser/changing table, and a mattress. When we ordered, they told us delivery would be between 8-12 weeks (So the end of Feb. would be the arrival date). However, we hadn't heard anything from them, so we stopped by the store the 1st week of March. This is where the trouble began, let the excuses role (mind you, these were given each week for four weeks)! Excuse #1. The furniture came in, but it was the wrong color so we sent it back. Excuse #2. We're waiting on conversions rails and then it will be ready to go. Excuse #3. It's made overseas and is being shipped to the states as we speak (hmmm, does that mean excuse is #1 was a lie?). Excuse #4. It's in Arizona, they said they're loading it on the truck any day. Excuse #5. Still waiting to load it onto the truck. Excuse #6. It's been loaded and it's taking a while to deliver (guess what, I've driven to Arizona and it doesn't that long!!!!!!). Excuse #7. The truck will be here Sat. or Monday--(NO call either day, so I called Mon.). Excuse #8. Oh, the truck is here, but there is a stop before ours, it will be here between 12-3. At 3, there was no phone call:(. Excuse #9. Tues. am, the truck had a delivery before our store. REALLY??!!!! That was your excuse YESTERDAY!!!!. Excuse #10 . Called back an hour later. The truck will be here within 2 hours. Finally, the furniture has arrived and the delivery guy will call shortly to set up an appointment. When I hadn't heard from the delivery folks in 3 hours, I decided to call back and double check. I spoke with Andi who told me the delivery people call within 24 hours and there is no way Lou would have told me they will complete next day delivery. Again, REALLY??!! Well, I spoke with Lou and he did give me the name & number for the delivery people. I spoke with them and they were able to complete next day delivery. The delivery company was very accommodating and extremely nice.

I will never spend another dime at Baby World and Big Kids II. This is such a shame, because now we have to go to Fort Collins to deal with a store that carries the furniture we ordered so we can now complete our set. I would think twice before ordering from this store. The upfront part is great, it's the ending part that causes the unnecessary frustration.

We went to Baby World even though we read some unpleasant reviews. We had a wonderful experience. The salespeople left us alone when we wanted and answered all our questions when we were done browsing. The lady even went out of her way to say she didn't want to be seen as "high pressured" and advised us to go home, measure out the area of the nursery and then return. It's exactly what happened. It made us more sure of our purchase-we bought a crib, 2 chests of drawers, a car seat and a really neat stroller. These people really helped us-they know their stuff. Our furniture arrived in 4 weeks (they told us it could take 8-10). Top experience-definitely will go back for accessories.

We were in there to purchase a dresser for my daughters room. Store hours did state that they closed at 5:00 and they still encourged us to leave at 4:50. I say with them knowing that we were there to buy a dresser and began closing before time to close, their customer service is very poor.

When week 12 arrived, and we hadn't heard anything, we called and were told that the items were in stock at the warehouse/manufacturer's and would be put on the next truck coming from New Jersey. We called again the following week only to be told again that the items would be on the next truck. Same scenario for weeks 14, and 15. Each time we were also told that we would receive a call as soon as the truck was on its way. We never received any follow-up calls. At week 15, they did offer a loaner dresser until ours arrived, but with the arrival of a new baby, we didn't want to have to arrange delivery twice, or have to switch out the dresser again at a later date. Furniture is nice but takes waaaaaay too long to get delivered. Take any estimate for time they give you and add 2 months! Plus they don't do their own deliveries so you are stuck paying multiple times if they deliver pieces as they arrive. They will loan you furniture but the delays are maddening!

Furniture is nice but takes waaaaaay too long to get delivered. Take any estimate for time they give you and add 2 months! Plus they don't do their own deliveries so you are stuck paying multiple times if they deliver pieces as they arrive. They will loan you furniture but the delays are maddening!

We had a wonderful experience at this store! Last year we ordered furniture and lost our baby at 6 months. They gave us a full refund of everything we had purchased from them! Since they were so nice to help us out in our situation, we went back (plus they have an excellent selection and excellent prices) for this baby. We ordered our furniture and were told that we would have it in about 10 weeks- 4 weeks later we received a call that it was already in.

We would definitely go back there and recommend to others as well! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful!

There was a manufacture issue with the crib and they took care of ordering a new front of the crib and continued to work with me after the crib(a Bonavita) had cracks. To all those waiting to get your furniture from Baby World, here is what happened to us and an idea of how to get them to deliver your stuff.... My wife and I ordered furniture from them and after 12 weeks started calling every couple of days to ask where the stuff was. We were told that the manufacturer was not responsive and could provide no information about when the "truck" would arrive with our stuff. So we went on line and found the contact information for the furniture manufacturer that would be shipping the furniture to Baby World for us to pick up. They were surprised to hear that it was taking 12 weeks or more to ship stuff they had in stock and could ship for delivery immediately. I found out the real reason that the manufacturer was not shipping anything to Baby World was that Baby World has credit issues, which in my opinion was that they did not pay for stuff already shipped. He was happy to hear that we had paid by credit card and then called them directly to work out something with Baby World that had our furniture to us in 2 weeks. Two weeks after my call to the manufacturer we had our stuff. In my opinion Baby World is probably running a Ponzi like scheme, taking money from new customers and paying past due bills so that manufacturers will ship more stock. What they are doing to pregnant women is immoral and probably illegal as well.If you have not purchased anything from them stay away! If you are still waiting contact the manufacturer and ask them to help. It worked for us.

Great store, with friendly and courteous service. I was surprise by the negative reviews of this store, we had a completely different experience. The furniture came in a couple weeks later than expected but we were told by Baby world that they would give us a loaner crib if we needed it prior to ours arriving. Would highly recommend this store, great furniture- unique pieces at reasonable prices.

We bought three pieces of furniture at Baby World and Big Kids II because we thought that they had a great selection and decent prices. We were told that all three pieces would arrive in 6-8 weeks. Two pieces of furniture arrived 10 weeks later. The third piece of furniture arrived another 6 weeks later (in other words, we waited 16 weeks or 4 months for a dresser). We're happy with the furniture that we have, but it was frustrating to wait so long. My advice is that Baby World is an okay place to buy your baby furniture, if you order several months in advance.

The first time we went in, there was intense pressure to buy that day before the "once-a-year" sale ended. Don't be pressured!! I checked in once a week for months, and all of the furniture was always on sale.

When I was finally ready to purchase, I was told my crib would arrive in 4-6 weeks. I called at 4 weeks and was told the crib would arrive in another 1-2 weeks. After another 2 weeks, I stopped in, only to be told my crib would be another 6-8 weeks. At this point I just wanted to cancel my order. No crib they carried was unique enough to wait 14 weeks for delivery. To this they replied that the crib was a special order and could not be cancelled. I pointed out that they had broken their end of the contract by not delivering the crib in the allotted time, which was clearly stated on the receipt.

Ultimately, after several complaints and threats of reporting them to several customer service-related organizations, they refunded our money. Ironically, I had overheard several other unhappy customers during my previous visits, and ignored their complaints as one-off problems. I could have saved myself a lot of hassel if I had only listened to what they were saying, and how their complaints were handled by the staff.

The most unique and fun place to visit for toddler beds.They are fairly priced. They have many many kinds of beds. We have gotten a low bunk bed that we can add pieces to later on. And we have also gotten a very simple bed for our youngest They had both of the beds that we got in stock. They also had a wide variety of gliders, cribs and baby needs.Although we are not having any more children I love to go there and look at all the new things that they have.
