I am a big fan of this HRS chapter, as they post many informative handouts on their website and happily allow other rescues to use them, so long as the rescues tell other from where they received the hand out. They do good work and save lots of rabbits while educating the public.

I watched this shelter go from a small basement to a decent size property with a giant barn, with air conditioning just for the rabbits. Everything they do is for the animals. The rabbits in their care get unlimited hay and water, plus veggies and pellets once a day. They are a no kill shelter and will take in as many rabbits as they can, often calling the area shelters if they have room for any extra. Over the years I've adopted three rabbits from them. They really know what they are doing. Before you can take the rabbit(s) home, they do a home visit to make sure you are sufficiently 'bunny-proofed'. They also go to area schools to teach people about house rabbits and what wonderful pets they can be if properly cared for.

Unlike a lot of well meaning animal rescues, the House Rabbit Society - Colorado chapter does a fantastic job of caring for so many rabbits in dire need of saving. They really care about what they do and I truly appreciate it!

The Colorado house rabbit society is a great non-profit rescue. They have many bunnies that need for ever homes. I think these folks do a great job and truly care about the critters in their care.
