I was shocked when I read the reviews! I have NEVER had any issues! The staff is ALWAYS helpful and will walk me to something if I have a question. I am always greeted when I go in. There are times when they might not be at the front counter but they are usually showing an item to another customer or putting new things away; after all they are a warehouse and someone needs to put stuff away! I have been greeting in less than 30 seconds if they are not at the counter. They have everythng there. Yes it is a warehouse but I think the lighting is fine, you can see everything and everything is displayed. As far as tax exempt this policy has been around for YEARS that I know of, it is not different from any other location that I have ever been to. I have ordered items as well and things have been "in process" so I have called to see what the delay is and I have recieved calls from them with updates again they are dealing with venders and it is not their fault the vender is taking a long time or not getting them the info they are requesting. I would agree that it is frustrating when there are no prices on items but I have taken then to the counter and they quickly get the price for me. I know they are in the process of pricing. Again people need to look past their own issues such as hire more help etc. They need to look at cost, overhead and when people are available to do work. Just like any other job they can't have a receptionist just sitting at the counter doing nothing, plus people who are working doing other things would get mad if they didn't have the help. The thoughts of people who downgrade companies have probably never been an owner and know all the detail that go into running a place! Don't be fooled by a few ignorant people, this is a GREAT facility just bring your credit card, your going to fall in love and want everything!

They still seem to have the widest variety of items in the metro Denver area. On a visit this week, I became extremely frustrated because a large percentage of items weren't priced. They also have a policy concerning tax exempt numbers that I don't find at any other metro retailers. It made me wonder if they were audited in the past and had a knee jerk policy put into place as a result. All in all, nice selection, poor customer service.

I placed an order online early February. According to their webiste it is still 'processing' (it is now March 10). I cannot get anyone to call me back or respond to my emails....sooo incredibly frustrating!! Buyer Beware!!

Banks School Supply is very easy to miss the first time you look for it. It is located in a large warehouse type of building. The door to the School Supply store is not the main door to the facility; it is a door set off to the side (there are signs on it noting that it is the School Supply store).
The inside is a large warehouse style store with rows and rows of school materials. They have everything! From wall decorations, calendars, stickers, and awards to games and puzzles, educational books and CDs. The school books are arranged by grades and subjects in a large rectangle. There are books along shelves on the inside and outside of the rectangle. Also inside is an area with little chairs and tables which makes it nice to be able to review materials before purchasing them or to have children sit and enjoy a book while you shop. They have books on just about every subject imaginable and grades PreK through high school.
The materials are reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are often very busy and it might take awhile to be assisted. Often there is no one at the front desk but there is a bell to ring if you need help.
For teachers they also offer some science supplies like beakers, test tubes, microscopes, etc.
Drawback are that it can sometimes be difficult to find what you are looking for and, due to the warehouse feel, it seems like it isn't well lit.
PROS: Great Variety of Items Not Readily Available, Reasonably Priced
CONS: Difficult to Find
