So, I stopped here on my lunch break on Thursday. The parking lot wasn't actually as packed as I've seen it before, but the store was still really crowded. I headed down the frozen food aisle after going through the produce section. In both areas, the prices were very high, about double what King Soopers charges for the same frozen dinners. I ended up thinking I would just leave but decided not to bypass the shrimp spring rolls at $5.50 for two with peanut sauce.

At the checkout counter, the clerk rang me up twice. While waiting for the refund two people abandoned the line--it did take a while. In the end, though, she gave me the spring rolls for free. That was nice.

They were not good spring rolls, though. The noodles had been oversoaked and were huge and mushy, and the rice paper around the rolls was super soggy on the bottom. For some reason, the peanut sauce seems to have vinegar in it, too. I don't know who makes the spring rolls, but they need better instructions.

Overall, happy I didn't pay for the wet mess.
-----------------------
Update: Though it seemed I had gotten a refund, I never actually did. So I paid twice for the disgusting spring rolls. When I called and told them what happened, I was told that I could come back into the customer service desk and get a refund for one spring roll charge--not even what I was told I was getting when I was supposed to have gotten a refund but also having to come back into the store. I hate this place.

If you want food that makes your tummy yummy healthy and happy you go here. If you want inexpensive less fulfilling food you go elsewhere. There is a different looking crowd shopping at this market than the other three big boxes. More healthy, vibrant and fit. OK, and more wealthy.
I can only come up with a few negative points for this store.
One- is the parking. Luckily, I don't drive a new car. Between the amount of people coming and going and the size of the spaces my car would be a wreck. Everyone knows about the dead end underground parking by now. My only saving grace is to bike or park across Pearl and do the flashing crosswalk. Even with the lights flashing make sure you scan both ways and look people in the eye before you walk. Be careful, some folks don't stop! This also happens in front of the store.
Two- why are the bathrooms so small for this size business? Hopefully with the upcoming enlargement of this location it will be taken into account.

You are what you eat.

They have a huge variety of things however some basic items which can be found at Wild Oats seem to be missing (like my brand of shampoo, and vegan cookies!). Also the parking lot is a ginormous pain especially on Sundays!!

I absolutely love the 365 brand. It is a great price for healthy food. The produce is always great at whole foods and I love all the samples around the store

The Boulder location runs smooth as a whistle. Their prices run comparable to local competitors, with some items run cheaper than Wild Oats. Whole Foods is the place to shop if you want the biggest selection out there. Just be sure you're ok with a crowd, because there's always a crowd at Whole Foods.

PROS: Fabulous selection, low prices
CONS: Always Crowded

This is what grocery stores should all be like: places to buy healthy foods. Although the prices can be steep and the deals minimal. Still, you get what you pay for...eat healthy, be healthy. And on most days, you can snack your way around the store, tasting several healthy products.

Wow! What a wonderful selection of fresh produce, fresh fish and imported cheeses. If you like to cook, and you have a hard time finding that special ingredient, this is the place for you. On a couple of recent visit I picked up some rabbitt, pink key west shrimp, huge alaskan king crab legs, fresh morel mushrooms, duck pate, fiddle head greens and red baby carrots. Everything is so well displayed, you feel like a kid in a candy store. This all comes at a price though, you'll find what you need, but you'll pay for it. No double coupons here.

Whole Foods offers a wide variety of organic, natural, and healthy foods. Most of their stores get a high KidScore for amenities like family restrooms...
