Hillside Gardens is gorgeous and feels far outside of the city. The grounds are perfect for a wedding, reception, anniversary party, you name it! Check it out.

This is such a wonderful place, the staff are all very nice and the free concerts on Wednesdays are so much fun. I have known a lot of people who have gotten married there and all were very happy.

Pros: A lot of great stuff

Cons: not enouth time in the day to see it all

Hillside Gardens is the most mis-managed location I have ever dealt with.
Larry Ash is an amazingly rude man for someone who proports themselves as an event host. He has no business being involved with weddings or anybody's special day.
Hillside, while having some charm, looks like a dump site that has been turned into a nursery...using old metal and trash and attempting to create art out of it. However, I could see how some brides might find it to be very art-nuevo and be attracted to it.
However, no bride should risk her special day on Hillside Gardens unless she expects to see her family setting up and tearing down the reception pavillion in their formal attire.
No bride should have to have such an obnoxious man walking through the pavillion citing that everyone and everything better be out by 11pm or else he is locking the gates.
No bride should see her parents accosted by demands for more money if everything is not out of the gates by 11pm.
If you are in the business of helping someone have what is supposed to be the Best Day of their lives, you should be a kind, gentle, understanding person...not a liar who tells of one things, but then delivers quite a different product. Oh...and...if you are having your reception there, there is no kitchen, no prep area for the caterers and no running water....regardless of what Larry tells the caterers...make sure they know the truth so they can plan accordingly.
What an utterly horrific man!

Pros: I'm hoping it was a cheap alternative to a traditional banquet hall

Cons: Larry Ash
