The food was ok, and that is the only good thing I can say about this place. Before food or drinks are even mentioned, they give you a leaflet telling you how to buy their t-shirts, and from then on the emphasis is on separating you from your money. The service is in-your-face - they just do not leave you alone. Want an intimate dinner, to pop the question or to break up with someone? Stay away. At one stage, our guy actually sat on the bench beside me while I ate.

Check carefully everything you agree to and sign for. My wife foolishly got on board with some loyalty card scheme and was presented with a bag and a little guitar pin. She asked if we could have two - the waiter agonised then said he'd ask the manager. He came back with a second goodie bag! Great! Only when I got home and checked my receipt did I see that I had been charged $26 dollars EACH for these "loyalty" cards and "freebies" (hah!) It's my fault entirely, I accept that, but it was noisy, I'd had a few drinks, I'm a trusting guy and AT NO STAGE was it mentioned there was a charge for this scheme. I just signed the check...and gave a generous tip! It was sold to us on the premise that we could "save twenty bucks!" (You have to go home, go online etc etc. I didn't bother).

Obviously I will never darken their doors again - Hard Rock is a money-making machine which employs devious, ruthless staff.

Pros: Nice food.

Cons: Everything else.

The Hard Rock staff is so friendly and attentive. We were instantly welcomed and had the best time with our server. There are so many cool things there too. If anyone is a fan of rock and roll, you definitely need to check out Hard Rock Cafe Denver because they have some of the neatest memo I have ever seen. One of my favorite Denver resturants!

I went here for the first time years ago for my senior prom. I had a good time because it was prom, but they gave away our reservation to another prom group, and then had to scramble to get us all seated together. I've gone back quite often since then, mainly cause I like their patio and their hot-funde brownie sundae! We went again the other day for the first time this year and it as awful. We sat on the patio and to our dismay every table surrounding us had lit cigarettes and cigars. Not only rude and inconsiderate, but against CO Law. The waiter could sense my dismay of clouds of smoke being puffed my way, but didn't say anything to his other tables. Our service seemed very rushed like he wanted us in, out and gone in under 30 minutes. When he brought us our bill, he charged us for salads we ordered, but never received. So he went back to re-do our bill. A week later when I checked my online banking, he had charged us twice instead of removing one charge, Great!! Had to call mgmt and deal with them to get it taken care of. They were a mess to deal with and accused me of being a liar scam artist. And to top it off, the chicken nachos made me and my husband instantly sick! Normally good food and service has now become lousy food with non-exsistent service! It's a shame!

The Hard Rock Cafe in Denver is one of the most over-priced and underwhelming eating establishments in the city. The food is decidedly average and the prices are pretty steep for the quality (think $10 hamburger that will be cooked wrong no matter how you order it with a $3 soda). I think the whole chain is suffering from an identity crisis. It used to be a folksy cool music museum eatery with reasonably priced tasty grub and a real rock spirit. Now they are trying to be a more upscale restaurant while maintaining their punk diner roots (it doesn't work). There are many better bars (Falling Rock Taphouse, Old Chicago's, and Rock Bottom Brewery to name only there within walking distance) in the area. If you want good food hit Wazee Supper Club, Rock Bottom, or the Two Fisted Mario's. Also the service is pathetic (I have had the misfortune of eating here more than once), next time I want to be waited on by a tatted up 19 year old with an attitude problem I will go to a high school cafeteria. Why is it that serving isn't a craft? Is it mandatory that people know nothing about the menu they work with? Unfortunately they sell over priced crap err... memorabilia so some of you will undoubtedly waste your hard earned money here, your loss. I was informed that they have changed general management in this place five times in the last two and a half years and it really shows.

This place is very average as far as food goes. Salads are rarely crisp and green and burgers are average. Of coarse the ambience is cool because it is Hard-Rock Cafe, but that's about it. Service is average The location is cool because it's right on the 16th street mall in Denver where something interesting is always happening. Pariking in this area can be tough at times if you're looking to park at a meter.

I am constantly amazed at how far the Hard Rock Cafe has dropped. It has always been a bit pricey, but the food was always good and the service was great. Maybe it's just this Hard Rock in Denver, but I was disappointed we ate there.
