I would not recommend this practice. My cat lost about 1/3 of his weight. When I brought him in, the vet, Dr. Bach, just said he was old, and old cats lose weight. He didn't do any testing or anything! Well 5 months later he died of cancer. If my cat had received treatment, maybe he'd still be alive today.
