The movies only cost $2, which is a bargain. They are also the movies that have been playing for a while but are not out on DVD yet, so if yo missed it the first time, here's your chance. The concessions are good (and cheap as well) which makes it possible to see a movie for under $5. Theater itself is nice, it was newly renovated, and has a reasonable amount of seating.

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and Son were anxious for me to see "Rocky Balboa" the movie, but could no longer find it locally. My husband searched the web and low and behold we were fortunate enough to find it in a town called Newtown. We went on map quest and found it only to be about 45 min. away (we live in Middletown) and felt the distance was reasonable enough and well worth it, well...Much to our surprise we pull up to the "Town Hall." We couldn't imagine what we were about to "stumble" upon, a "diamond in the rough" (if you will). We fell in love with the theater. It reminded us of our childhood, and we were able to share that experience with our Son. We loved everything about the theater (especially the ticket and concession stand prices). We have found our new "theater home." Even with the price of gas it is worth the travel, but more than that, it is how we feel when we are there. "Bravo" to the town of Newtown for your "old school" idea. My family and I look forward to going to the movies now. "We'll see you at the movies..." Laura Maturo, Middletown, CT

If you want to see a cheap movie, then this is the place to go. We took my son here for his 4th birthday thinking that if we had to leave, we wouldn't have lost much. I think tickets were $2 for the matinee, adult or child. The food is actually reasonably priced and I was able to buy the kids a large popcorn and soda without taking out a loan. The seats are old and it is not at all fancy or resembling a new theater, but my kids loved it.

NOTHING FANCY HERE. TICKETS ARE CHEAP AND MOVIE PLAYING HAS BEEN OUT FOR A WHILE. CONCESSIONS ARE REASONABLE AND SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE ENOUGH. THIS IS A SMALL THEATRE SO LINES ARE NOT TOO LONG AND PARKING NO PROBLEM. THIS IS A GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO THE HIGH PRICED CORPORATE COMPETITORS. FAMILY FRIENDLY.
