I used Dr. Watson (the only doctor at Coastal womens care) for my first pregnancy. He is the worst he used to be part of Shoreline OBGYN and went on his own. Has THE WORST record. I told him (with my mother present everytime) that I was taking a certain drug. Well after the delivery I let them know I needed my medication and he promptly told me I should have told him I was on that drug because it was unsafe. Needless to say I was appalled and my mother put up a stink for me. He just didn't want to be sued AGAIN if something went wrong. I watched each time as he supposedly put down the medicine I was taking bet its not there. Well with my second and third child I took the same medication and had extra care that was not provided by Dr. Watson because he would not admit there was a problem. Thankfully I have three healthy children no thanks to This group. I would never ever go here again. I agree with badlasting impression on everything she said.

Pros: There really are none

Cons: Everything from treatment to the doctor and midwife

Where to begin? I have never had such a bad experience with a doctor or a doctors office. First expect to wait 45 to 50 minutes per appointment. Second, if this is not feasable and you have to reschedule expect to be threatened by the office or doctor or both. Third, if asking about the inflexibility expect to hear that the money from your doctors appointment is more valuable than your time. Fourth, if you have any problems whatsoever expect to hear that it is a natural part of pregnancy that includes sky rocking systolic and diastolic pressure and extreme headaches. Fifth, forget that you have any control over the delivery of your own child. Sixth, expect to be diagnosed by a textbook which is dangerous in itself. Seventh, expect to have a medical assistant have opinions about your case which are above his or her level of education. Eight, expect to hear wrong and conflicting information from this doctors office. Ninth, expect to waste all your time and be told that there is no such thing as back labor by this doctor. Tenth, sleep tight knowing that this doctor has been disciplined by the CT Medical board where he was fined 10,000 for ignoring a fetus in distress during labor and the baby had to be flown to New Haven after the doctor delivered the baby by prying it out of the mother. Eleventh, wake up reassured knowing this doctor has been successfully sued for being incompetent. Twelfth, expect Zero privacy whatsoever, the last time I was there in the lobby the midwife was discussing the procedures of a miscarriage to an obviously distressed couple. Thirteenth, pray that when the day does come around this doctor goes off duty and a competent doctor delivers your child.

Pros: He has free stuff

Cons: You might live if you have no complications

i had a high risk pregnancy towards teh end of it and let me tell you that the entire staff is so caring and quick to do things especially when it came to sending me to the hospital and bring my baby alive into the world. the administrative staf even called me like friends after my delivery. i'm so happy i chose them. dr. watson sure knows what he's doing and is extremely calm and caring. not once did he show how bad things were so i was calm through it all but fater my baby was born he really told me what could have happened and i'm glad i found out afterwards. dont get me wrong, he wouldn't keep anything from me but his goal was to keep me calm and for me to have a healthy little boy.
