Go to Westbrook Honda ?? saleswoman very personable - takes me for test ride ?? get back to the showroom and ask her to give me the best price on the car ?? she comes back with proposal with exact sticker price ?? I stand up and put on my coat to leave and she asked what I was paying for my current car ?? I said it doesn??t matter, I asked you for the best price on this car ?? she said I didn??t give her anything to work from ?? apparently best price is not part of their vernacular - as I was exiting the showroom the sales manager comes up to me to explain that the rep I was working with was new ?? I said that doesn??t matter, you, the experienced sales manager, gave her the numbers to give to me and I asked for the best price ?? he said he gave me ??the best price?, but that it was really the best price for the dealer. Semantics. I continued out of the showroom. See ya!!

NEVER USE THEM. We purchased a used SUV after driving it for 3 day we noticed a loud noise in the front. It turned out to be the two front tires they were cupped. When we took it to their service department they so nothing we can do. But we did rotate them which was an out and out lie the tires had not been touched. The battery was covered in a think white battery acid their solution was to power spray it all over the engine including the hoses so they could no be eroded as well. I have never been so disgusted with a car dealership in my life. I will make sure i tell every one i know to stay away from this place. Since i work at a casino that includes thousand of people that could have been potential business for them.

I have two poor experiences with Westbrook Honda. The first was a used car we had on deposit. They sold it to someone else and told us sorry. The second was an estimate for a timing belt. The original quote for the "special deal" went from $290 to $950, after we brought in the car! They did wash the car for free, even though we declined the work at the higher price.

Great service department! Just don't buy a car their if you want to save money head up to Schaller! Don't worry they will still take your money at their most excellent service department.

I saved $3500 on a brand new V6 Accord by driving 30 minutes up route 9.

Looks like nothing has changed there. I bought a 2003 Honda Accord from them years ago. An mInor electrical problem early in the car's life, I had asked for help in trying to diagnose and fix. They said it would cost me $75.00 just for the mechanic to look at it. I wanted to ask just a simple question. A very unhelpful servive manager suggested I buy the equally expensive Honda manual and look for my self. On another occasion, I brought my car in hoping to have the radio's light fixed. It was on a "volunteer recall", having been a huge problem in 2003. Again another unhelpful service manager said they were honoring it, but not on my car because it had too many miles. At that time it had slightly over 100k miles. Now it has 270k miles and I have used a penlight to view the radio since. When was 100 k on a Honda "too many miles"? I was reading the reviews of this delarship, hoping that things had changed because I am in the market for a new car. Looks like I have my answer. Off to Cardinal Honda I go

Brought my car in for an estimate on what it would cost to fix it. They called me a few hours later with a price, but when I went to pick the car up a couple of days later when it was ready, they actually charged me about $400 more than what I had been told. Of course, it having been told to me over the phone, I had nothing in writing. They even had the nerve to tell me they were giving me a special discount! I had been planning on buying a new car from them within the next year. I'm still buying a car, but NEVER from them.

I literally just left the dealership and was so angry that I had to write a review immediately! Dealing with the internet sales manager, we had agreed on a price (actually he agreed to match another offer I had gotten from another dealer). Mind you, there was NO confusion as to what I was asking. He even verbally repeated it back to me on the phone. He gladly agreed, and I asked for it in writing prior to making my trip down there. He assured me I "had his word" and that the car I was asking for was in stock. I have multiple emails and voicemails prooving his offer in writing. Once I got there he proceeded on with this apparent "offer", however then informed me of his first lie, that he didn't have the car on the lot. After he agreed to find one for me, I started filling out all the paperwork. As we were wrapping up he got the "sales manager" who then told me that he couldn't do that offer. I explained to him that I had it all in writing and he didn't care. He got up from the table and just walked away without any further discussion or customer service. The internet sales manager then got angry with me after I said that he lied and put his finger in my face and said "don't you dare call me a liar". I walked out of that place so fast, I have never been treated with such disrespect. I have continued to file a complaint with the Honda corporation, and I suggest everyone else who has an issue go ahead and do the same thing. The manager has refused to take all phone calls. They lied in every way possible. I know that car salesmen are never the most pleasant to deal with, but these people all the way up to their top management top the cake! Never give them your business!

Initially, I was impressed with their friendliness and hospitality. But as the hours wore on, I was no longer impressed, only stressed and pressured. I only went to Westbrook Honda because it was close to home and I was pressed for time. They 'forgot' to include floor mats (as promised), and they did not fill my gas tank (as promised) when they reconditioned the car; nor did they replace the broken license plate frame advertising their dealership during the reconditioning. Perhaps it is what salespeople do, but I felt stressed and rushed trying to make decisions when they kept making "take it or leave it" offers. I have gone to other dealerships in the area that have laid-back salespeople. I ended up buying a Honda at the Westbrook dealership, but only because my lease ended and I needed a new car right away. If I had to do it again, I would have gone elsewhere. I hope my next Honda dealer encounter is better.

Watch out for the bait-and switch! We cannot remember having sich a poor customer service experience in any industry or facet of our lives. After we agreed on a price, they tried to get us to sign a sales agreement with no numbers on it! This was remarkable after all of the haggling we went through. We insisted on having the documents completed and the finance manager and sales manager came back out with numbers $1800 higher then we agreed to. We had given them a written document of our expectations (and what would be included) so that there was no misunderstanding of the bottom line. In the end we walked out and bought our car elsewhere. Two other dealers looked at our written proposal and understood it perfectly. There was no "misunderstanding " at Westbrook Honda. They are simply dishonest and disrespectful. They thought they could "pull a fast one" on us. Stay away at all costs! We have purchased cars at two other Honda dealers in CT in the last three years and had a MUCH better experience.

ALso, our sales associate was very unprofessional. He bad-mouthed other dealerships and specifically made negative remarks about employees at other dealerships (by name).

My husband bought a truck here a few years back. The salesman was pushy but that is to be expected. They worked with us and has us out the door in under an hour.
