Did you hear the laughter tumbling down the stairs to the ground level of the Main Street Market? Follow it to the Hair Affair...
I discovered the Hair Affair when I moved to the area a year ago. Trust me, my hair was messier than the stacks of moving boxes and bubble wrap that littered my house. Debby Mastriani/owner,"the Paula Dean of hair!", reassured me that my "stress-ends" would get improve as my stress level decreased. Not only was the woman right, but she cut my hair in an attractive way that detracted from the damage. After all of these months, I just let her do with my hair as she sees fit. Shes taken the time to give me great care, great styles, beyond belief coloring (have you tried the glossifier?? Ask any of the gals about it.) My hair is luminescent for weeks & months afterwards.
Two weeks ago, I broke from the usual cut to a perm. I havent had one in 15 years. I have sensitive skin, including my scalp, and Debby took the time to question what happened the last time, if I was able to get the name of the product used etc. She shared her concerns with me about my skin and the perm chemicals, but was able to find a perm solution that worked really well for me. My scalp is fine and my hair,as usual, is fab!
All of the gals in the shop are great! Lisa has cut my childrens hair for the last year too. Its always been kid/mom approved.
Just a side note, I happened to be at the shop yesterday to see Lisa start a cut and perm on a grandma(her granddaughter was with her), but I didnt see the end result until today when I happened to see "grandma" walking down the street. Her hair style made her look 10-15 years YOUNGER! I was shocked! Gram looked GRAND!! Way to go Lisa!
Youll just have to stop by to meet Debby, Lisa, Patty and Sara. Its more than an affair; its great hair care, personlized service and good people.
When something works, why fix it?
ps My daughter and I get our eyebrows waxed here too. The salon also offers ice cubes in sizes-just ask!

I'm a new resident in town and searched for a place with a good, quiet atmosphere that catered to adults. The staff were all polite and Patty did a wonderful job with my hair cut.

I stayed at the nearby Inn at Middletown for a wedding. The morning of the wedding I walked up Main Street to see if there was someone in the area who would do an updo for me. A local nail salon recommended the Hair Affair and I walked in. I was immediately greeted by the very friendly owner, Debby. The salon is in a cool little market shopping area and is filled with character. Debby was more than happy to do my updo and asked a lot of questions to get a feel for my personality to ensure that the style she gave me not only matched my outfit but was right for me. I don't think I've ever had more fun in a salon and I looked gorgeous when I walked out.

I got so many compliments at the wedding and people loved my hairstyle. It was a fun treat and I would do it all over again. I would highly recommend the Hair Affair for locals and know that the Inn at Middletown is also recommending them to hotel guests.
