My car died on the way from South Carolina to Maine on the highway. I called AAA and a driver from Durable came out to tow my car. He was very nice and even called ahead to the shop to let them know I was coming in, and was on a crunch for time. (I needed to be there the next day to help my son move out of college) After the driver dropped me off at Durable, the service manager was very helpful in explaining what happened to my car, and how it would be a lengthy repair, however he had talked with the mechanic working on the car and he was willing to stay after hours to get it all fixed up and get me back on my way. I was, and am very grateful for the service I received! Thank you! Hopefully I won't break down in that area again, but if I do I will be back :)

I have a 2000 jeep that needed an alternator and battery. The guys at Durable were very quick with the replacements. They had a pretty nice waiting room for me to watch some TV while I waited. The only downside is I didn't get to finish

Best family owned business--Dave Jr was great--wrote my estimate--put me in a rental--avis cars are on site--repaired my better than it was--he even repaired a little extra ding while they were repairing my car, they called me a day before

My car was towed down to Durable by AAA. The battery was dead. Before having them do the repair, my sister came down to try and jump it. With both of us being girls we have never jumped a car. I went in to the shop and asked if they could at least set the wires up. They said it was a liability issue. I can understand that but could at least tell us where the wires go. I then called my dad to see if he could help. They watched out the window the whole time. We got it started and I went in the shop again to tell them that we got it started. They were laughing as if we would not be able to do it without them. They were very rude and did not even acknowledge that I was telling them. I was embarrassed that they were laughing at us. A little after that I called and asked to speak with the manager. When I was telling him the story, he did not seem interested. He was doing other things while on the phone. When I got to the part where the employees were laughing, he tried to cover himself by saying the computers were down and they could not have been looking at the monitor and laughing. He said "How can you say that they were laughing at the monitor when you don't even know the whole story." At that point I was very irritated and told him that he had very poor customer service skills. He didn't want to listen to what I had to say and was talking over me. Then he hung up on me. I would not recommend Durable. They are extremely rude and condescending.

TERRIBLE AUTO BODY AND DOES NOT HONOR LIFETIME GUARANTEE!!
Originally brought my car in for an accident 8 years ago (front bumper, head light covers, quarter panel and door) and was given a "lifetime" guarantee. I had to bring it back FOUR times within a year to have it repainted and fixed correctly (first time the paint didn't match, second time there were two full hand prints in the clear coat, third time they put the head light cover on wrong so it scraped all the paint off the front area under it and the fourth I don't recall... like three isn't enough? lol). Last summer the clear coat started to peel on the door raised emblem because during the original fix the autobody "specialist" was too lazy to take off the emblem and door molding... aka paint it the correct way. I brought it back for the lifetime warranty, Dave Jr. said no problem, took off the emblem, ordered a new emblem and repainted the lower area. I never put the new emblem back on, drove the car for a couple weeks and then put it back into 7 months of winter storage. I took it out, brought it to a Auto detailer whom used to do Auto body and he pointed out that the clear coat was again peeling on the door molding (above the emblem) and the paint chipping on the front bumper shouldn't happen because it was not prepped correctly. I brought it BACK to durable, however this time Dave Sr. was there to "help" me out. He came out, looked at the car and turned to me and said "GET THE #$%& OUT OF HERE!!" I replied "excuse me??" and got "GET THE #$%#@ out of here! I am not TOUCHING your car again! WHO knows what would happen if I have to pull off that door molding and repaint the door! I'm not getting into that!" I then reminded him of the lifetime guarantee and he once again told me to "get the @#$# out of here". This went back and fourth for 10 minutes, I presumed he thought I had the car repainted AGAIN within the last few years, which I had not (swear on my grandmothers grave), so I reassured him of that which he then called me a liar, walked away from me, and repeated "Get the $%# out of here!". I guess they will help you out and honor their warranty if it does not trouble them to much! I am now seeking help from the Better Business Bureau and possible legal action.

I didnt even want to give them one star.

I have been to Durable twice because my car broke down and AAA told them to pick me up. BOTH times they looked at my cars they quoted OUTRAGEOUS prices for the cost of repair. They seem very nice and helpful until you say you don't want them to do the work. For both cars I got the work done with QUALITY service and a MUCH cheaper price. I would NOT recommended this business to anyone.....unless you want to overpay for work.

Called several tow places some were closed and some were outrageous prices . I was fortunate to have them answer and give me a fair price . So i would recommend this place if you are in the need of a tow..

I have relied on Durable for several years, both for maintenance and repair of my 1995 Honda, and I have found them to be very trustworthy and knowledgeable. Everything they have fixed has been fixed right the first time. They are very helpful and it really is handy to have an Avis rental car office on-site, too.

Durable repaired my 2001 Audi after a car accident.They towed the vehicle to their facility via their flat-bed.The office staff was knowledgeable and courteous, even assisting me in calling my insurance co.They have Avis car rental right on their premises.I was shocked to receive regular updates from them via email, even photos of my car during the repairs!

Durable does great work in a timely fashion they are a friendly family owned business who is willing to work on your schedule and with you. THey do excellent repairs. My wifes car was wrecked in an accident and they repaired it so well you couldn't tell it was ever damaged.

Biggest mistake I ever made. I had a horrible experience with this company. Customer service was horrible, always on hold when I called, and no one ever knew what was going on with my vehicle. I was bounced around from person to person while on the phone. When I was there in person, they were not courteous, very cold attitudes. PLEASE do not make the mistake that I did. Go somewhere else.

I used them once for autobody repair after an accident and was pretty disappointed. I had used another shop in the past that was great-after this repair you still new the car had been damaged. We also had to take the car back 2 or 3 times because things were not fixed properly.
