I came here with my good friends to celebrate. We sat around the big cooking table. I ordered the Surf n Turf: filet minon, lobster, fresh vegetables, salad with great dressing , & california roll. My steak was extremely tender and melted in my mouth, the fried rice was delicious. The cook was very funny doing funny tricks while he cooked and we ate each course. Each person in our group enjoyed their meal and had fun! Our staff was extremely attentive too.

Pros: Love Fuji

a few years ago i came here without knowing anything about tepanyaki style food...it was quite entertaining, I really like this place. The food is so fresh as we see it. it's pretty tasty and different. I like all of the dipping sauces that come with the items. I would agree that it isn't a 5 star restaurant type meal, but it was not bad at all, and I was quite happy with the flavor. I also appreciated having the food heaped on my plate piping hot off the grill. Also their music birthday candle is really good. It's a great birthday spot.

I have to admit that I was very hesitant to return to Fuji after a food poisoning incident. When I would go with friends, I ordered hibachi. I went back and it's much improved, including the decor.

My family and I used to go here a lot. We went there specifically for their crispy shredded chicken - it is no longer on the menu.

They also changed their Hibachi, which was really a downside for us. We love the fried rice, but we have to pay extra for it now? No, I don't think so.

We have not gone back since we went there the first week they re-opened. They should not have changed their menu, they did themselves under. I loved that their Hibachi was different then other restaurants, but now that they changed their menu, there is nothing unique about them.

You know what they say, don't fix something that isn't broken. They lost a loyal customer.

Pros: fried rice

Cons: menu change

Fuji claimed it renovated, however, the restaurant still looks the same as it did 5 years ago. I went and asked the hostess what the renovations were and she said stuff in the kitchen and the bathroom floor. Much less food than before. The service is horrible, they screwed up on our order and never came to refill our water glasses. They also said they couldn't split the check and they were going to charge us for trying. I will NEVER go here again. It is not worth your time or your money. The "new" Fuji is nothing like the old Fuji.

My daughter has just celebrated her birthday with a whole bunch of her friends at Fuji Japanese Restaurant last Saturday, and they love it! They have enjoyed the Hibachi food and the show while I and my wife enjoyed the fresh tasting sushi in the cozy dining room. We have spent a great time there and I will definitely come back and recommend Fuji to others!

We went to the recently renovated Fuji restaurant on Friday night. The decor inside is exactly the same and still smells. The service was awful. The chef did not understand the menu and cooked the meat first and then the vegetables and forgot the noodles/rice. He argued with us that rice or noodles were not included even though it was clearly stated on the menu. The manager came over and explained to the chef his mistake. He then proceeded to the next table and the same routine ensued. All dishes including salad, soup, and wine glasses sat on the table for the entire meal. Water glasses were never refilled. Soup tasted like hot water with too much pepper. The food was marginal before but the kids always had fun, now it is just not worth it.

The place was almost empty on a recent Saturday night. We came at about 9pm, and staff greeted us impatiently indicating that it was almost too late since they close at 10 pm. The hibachi chef skipped half of his routine; the food was mediocre at best for the price. The whole atmosphere is also pretty poor... Bottom line: whether for sushi or hibachi, go somewhere else.
