After the years I've been coming here....I'd like to consider myself a regular at the Chapel. I can't imagine my life without having met the wonderful family that makes up the chapel. Ever since I first arrived, I've just been surrounded by encouraging and loving people. There are so many life lessons that I've been taught by participating in this wonderful body of believers. I've been mentored, discipled, and cared about in a way that would be hard to find anywhere else. And to top it all off the church leadership is focused on what god wants and is constantly growing. With it already being the most fun and amazing place I've ever visited... I cant Imagine how great it will be in a year or longer. THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!

God's Presence and peace are felt so strongly in this place. It's a great place for families as they do so much with the kids in the community be it Easter egg hunts, VBS, water wars, festive events, potlucks, etc... Bring your loved ones. We'd love to meet you!

I have been a happy member of this church for about 5 years. If you want a preacher who loves the Lord, preaches directly from the bible and truly cares not only for the people of his church but also the members of the community, then this church is for you. The church members are nothing like I've experienced from the churches of my past. They are caring and loving and would do anything for you. The experiences had by Calvin J or Carl M have not been experienced by myself so one has to wonder if there are personal reasons for writing the things they did? This is a bible based church which is what a church should be based on.

As a member of this church for over 6 years I would like to clarify the last review. I have quoted Calvin's statements.

---"The worship time is geared toward building up "feelings" of being close to God, while calling down angels and seeking future-telling through "prophecies."

Feeling= Experiencing the love of God as Abba and savior while at the same time learning his word. There is something dangerous in that?

Calling down angels = I have never seen this.

Future telling & prophecies = There is a big difference between the two. It states so in the bible.

--"If you speak out against these heresies or even mention your concern to the pastor, they will publicly pray that "all dissenters will leave."

This has never happened and I would not be part of a church that did. The best part about HC is many people have differing opinions.

--"Be very careful of the false teachings here!"
How could false teaching come directly from the bible? The majority of participants at HC are educated, clear headed, and responsible people. They are not mindless followers. They would not allow dangerous and wrongful teachings.

--"The pastor says he won't cut his hair until revival breaks out in New England (methinks he rather likes that pony tail!)"

A personal choice. He did recently cut his hair when three chuches came together.

Why would someone whose intention is to warn people against the church take time out to write a personal jab.
That seems to be neither Christian nor focused on the task at hand.

"--and frequently encourages the church to go on month-long community fasts."

Frequently meaning once a year as with Lent. A fast could mean anything that separates you from God. Some gave up TV or video games. People were welcomed to participate, but it was personal choice. No one was asked to starve themselves. No one had to even mention if they took part in it.

I question Calvin??s intentions in writing this review. From my experiences, the review clearly misrepresented the church with inaccuracies and mistruths. Don't take my word for it. I invite anyone to visit the church and find out for themselves.

There is a warmth to this church that must be experienced for one to truly understand it. There are two services 9:00-10+ and 10:30 to around twelve. There is fellowship between the two services. The music is incredible and the message is applicable to everyday life. The pastor and elders are sincere in their love for the Lord and their willingness to help others. The church is family friendly. Children are adored as part of the church. There are several programs for youth. It nearly brings tears to your eyes to see them partake in the worship. The vacation bible school which lasts a week and is free to the public is nothing short of a blast.I can honestly say that this church has had a temendous effect on my life. It has helped me become a better Christian and a better person.

This church is alive, friendly, growing. It's services are only 1 1/2 hrs long. The music is hopping. The pastor's best quality is his love of his people. Great church. Try it!

PROS: sermons; music; atmosphere
CONS: can be short of seats some weeks
