This is a great family run store, you don't get service like this anymore. The sales people are friendly, not pushy. I bought both my washer & dryer from them. I did have an in warranty issue, but they got the problem taken care of.

They are so helpful when you're purchasing something, but they are so rude afterwards! I bought all new appliances and they all had issues! They could care less and don't help at all. You have to keep calling and calling and they do

I purchased a washer/dryer about 7 years ago from Melzen's and like the service and knowledgeable sales staff. I went back to purchase a new washer and dryer recently. I called a couple days after visiting the store to order the new machines. I needed the vent on the dryer moved to vent out the side (at an additional cost of $75+tx). I agreed to avoid a hassle, once the machine was delivered. The machine was delivered with the vent on the side BUT the entire inside of the vent was not secured. After washing and drying a load of laundry, the entire machine was dripping with condensation, I had a puddle of water on the floor, and the laundry area felt like steam room. I called the next day (Saturday) to say something was wrong. I was told they were extremely busy and may not get out that day to repair it and they would call back after checking their schedule. I waited until 1pm for a call back - nothing. I called again and left a message - still nothing by 3pm. I ended up taking the entire machine apart and fixing the venting myself. I had go out and buy a couple of clamps from the local hardware store. I called Monday morning to say I fixed it myself and wanted them to credit my charge card for the charge of moving the vent. They argued, and said they still need to charge me something because they had spent time on it. I disagreed. After a few minutes, they said they would credit my card, gave me a nasty Merry Christmas and hung up on me. THEY DID NOT DO AS THEY PROMISED! 4 DAYS LATER, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE CREDIT ON MY CARD!!! I won't be buying anymore appliances from them!
