World Language Ctr

The World Language Center is a section of the Yale Bookstore, with its own devoted and multi-lingual staff ready and able to help you with anything you need. The center offers an extensive selection of books with audio components for learning languages, carrying almost everything published. The rest of the store is literature in foreign languages. The European languages are the best represented, with full selections of things like the French folio series. But there are also sections devoted to more obscure languages, such as the Scandinavian languages, and non-European languages. This is a totally unique thing to have in an otherwise fairly generic Barnes and Noble.

The World Langage Center at the YBS has a really wide selection of foreign language books. The woman who runs the department- I don't remember her name but she speaks French- is really friendly and will help you find the best book for your needs, and will go above and beyond to find and order a book if they don't have it in stock. If you're interested in foreign languages, or looking for a specific book for study or pleasure reading, I highly recommend stopping by the WLC. It's downstairs at the YBS.
