Long wait, and the pizza wasn't very good at all. We threw out the leftovers when we got home. We were very disappointed and would not go again.

I was introduced to WPH when visiting a friend up at UConn in the early 90s. Since then I've been there at least once a year and they're by far the best--I think it's their red sauce that does it! We definitely prefer to get our own small pizzas so we can get one catered to ourselves vs sharing a large! Every time we are traveling down I-84 from NH or MA and we pass exit 68, we always mention how we should stop there for dinner... Highly recommend!

Wilmington Pizza house is known for their potato pizza. Sounds weird at first but is so good. It has a sour cream sauce on the bottom with cheddar cheese, chives, bacon, broccoli and of course the winning ingredient red potatoes. The interior is neat, one room is Nascar theme, and the other one is antiques. Everything is made from scratch so be patient when waiting for food. The only con I can think of is that their dinners are ok. They definitly dont measure up to thier pizzas.

If you are looking for an excellent pie this is the place to go! Try their Red Potatoe pizza, you will definitely be back for more. They have a excellent selection on Micro Brewed beer. The service is always super. They also have three themed rooms, one being a sports bar, the other a Nascar room, and one an antique room. Worth a drive from Ma, Ct, or Ri

I had read that Willington Pizza was the perennial winner of the best of Tolland in the pizza category so we stopped in recently on our way to a UCONN basketball game. It is popular, but the pizza was very disappointing. Thick crusted, pre formed crust with a disappointing tomato sauce. Next time we will stop at the Big Y in Tolland for our pizza.

Willington pizza is great but what about Willington Pizza Too. It has the same great pizza with a littile different menu. With wings, beer and a TV in every corner it's a great place to watch the game. It works for me because it's right off ext. 69.

Pros: The Red Potato, Close to Uconn, Great beer selection

Cons: not a full bar

.

This is the best one! Great, innovative pizza, warm environment, festive staff. Yes, the hostesses can sometimes show a lack of personality, but hey! - that's part of what makes this place special!

I drive about 45 mins to get there, but it's worth it!
I started going there about 10 years ago, when i first met my wife.
She and I always drove by on our way to the beaches and stoped in one evening for a pie.
We were both very impressed with the quality of the pizzas there even the common shroom and roni were to die for. Their crust is very tasty and fresh, the toppings are the same the two things I dont care that much for are the wait to get a seat and the staff was not very bright (although the very good looking college girls are nicer to look at than talk to).
Overall this is one of the very best pizza joints I've been to in the US.

Pros: quality, creativity, inovative atmosphere

Cons: the wait, the staff, parking

Willington pizza is a great place to go for classic pizza but with its own original flare. The atmosphere is great for families or large groups and is an excellent change of pace for college students to get away from dorm food and not have to pay exorbitant prices

Pros: Friendly

Cons: None

Willington Pizza is not a restaurant, it is a Eastern Connecticut institution. Their pizza is top notch and the atmosphere is wonderful. This is a trip worth taking if you're not from the area, and if you live nearby (as I do) it is a weekly ritual. P.S. Try the red potato pizza and the cheeseburger pizza (the latter may sound strange from its menu description, but if you like cheeseburgers this will be your favorite pizza ever!)

This pizza is so good, you will bite your tongue trying to eat it! My only complaint is that it's a little tricky to get to the restaurant. Definitely one of the best pies around though.

Pros: Great Pizza, lots of UCONN memorab

Cons: difficult to find res

Being lucky enough to live near one of the countries best pizza houses affords me the luxury of a great pizza when ever the mood strikes me. Still there best is the red potatoe pizza with brocolli N bacon. Still getting in there after a UCONN game is always tough. but the crowds don't bother you once you've sat down and placed your order. It can be one of there famous pizza or one of the many other great meals offered by there competent Chefs.

Pros: interesting decor, 2nd shop nearby, good parking

Cons: Busy on game day

willington pizza receives much more recognition than they deserve. there is nothing spectacular about this restaurant. it happens to be one of the only restaurants in the willington area. if people had a choice of decent food, they might not choose willington pizza

Been eating here for years! Great pizza, you must try the red potato pizza. Sounds odd, but it is fantastic (and fattening, but the guilt is very worth it!) A must try for easter CTers.
