Jalapeno Heaven

We have been regulars since this informal family operation first opened, however many years ago that was. They have the best jalapenos - ever. The nachos of all varieties are enough for a meal for two.

The midweek taco buffet is much more than that and is one of the best values around. "All you can eat" at a low price is more than I can sample of every item; I have to choose less than the full offering.

The bar is more than adequate for us, and the service is always cordial. The only thing we miss by going there is chile con queso, but the red and green salsa are both good.

This is one of our favorite places we frequent, even after moving another 15 miles farther away.

Cozy place; warm and welcoming. Delicious Mexican food in an older building. If not looking for it, you will miss it - a big disappointment as the food and atmosphere are just great.

We stumbled upon this place by accident, while getting off the highway to by-pass traffic on I-95.

The converted Victorian confused us, but the wonderful aroma in the parking lot drew us in. We were not disappointed! Delicious, authentic, "comfort-style" Mexican food welcomed us - just like we found in our Mexican countryside travels.

Inside, the owners, Gail and Hector, were on premise, and they were as gracious as could be! Although the restaurant is small in size, the portions are plentiful, and service was impeccible. Everything we sampled we loved! Our server was friendly, knowledgable about selections, and full of suggestions and hints.

Don't miss this place. It is easily accessible from I-95 on Rte. 1 in Branford!

Cozy, rustic atmosphere. The staff has always been very friendly and eager to please. The food is wonderful, I have never had a dish I didn't love. The homemade chips and salsa are a complimentary great start to munch on while deciding what to order. The prices are very reasonable. Wonderful Mexican food at a price you can afford.

PROS: Great food, friendly staff.
CONS: space is limited.

Wonderful, Comfortable Atmosphere, Friendly Wait Staff and the food is awesome authentic mexican! It is hard not to fill up on the Home Made Chips and Salsa. Delicious! But you need to save room for the main course. Large Delicious Portions! Everything is very reasonably priced. In the summer you can sit out under the tents. A great dining experience.
