Toad's Place is a New Haven institution. I've seen incredibly famous bands there for a fraction of the price of other venues. The bar is filthy, and it's not in a safe part of town so be careful where you park and plan how you're going to

I have been going to this club for years. They always have great shows if it hot local bands or major artists this it the place to see a show , it is mostly standing but if you get there early there are a few tables.

Toads place over the years has featured many up-and-coming bands that eventually hit it big, and many that were big already. Both Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones kicked off tours here, using the small club atmosphere as a warm up for bigger venues.I remember seeing acts like The Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, Big Country, Joan Jett, even "Weird Al" Yankovic back in the 80's. I haven't been there in years, but it's something you definitely check out when in New Haven!

GREAT NIGHT CLUB WITH A VERY DISTINGUISHED SELECTION OF PERFORMING BANDS.
ISN'T TOAD'S PLACE SYNONYMOUS WITH YALE AS A LANDMARK OF NEW HAVEN ?

I REMEMBER SEEING BLONDIE SO MANY YEARS AGO,AND THOUGHT "THIS IS A REAL WINNER".

PROS: BEST LIVE BANDS
CONS:
