For anyone who's considering going to IIC, seriously, don't read any of the negative comments, they're all coming from "students" at the school that used to be down the street in a building owned by the Gugliottis, who moved because they finally decided that they're never going to have half of the clients that we have, because their school is dirty, and not very presentable, or professional what-so ever.. (NIRVANA)Anything and everything that they say is bogus.I've been a student here for a year and 3 months, and i love this school. The teachers are amazing, and whoever said that the student teacher relationships are very unprofessional, is ridiculous. The teachers are very professional, they're just have personalities unlike other places and make things more fun, but don't get me wrong, they'll set you straight and make sure you stay on task. They're very educated and talented, and i look up to them. Also, I'm pretty sure everyone is out of high school, and is an adult, so we should be able to be comfortable and joke around with our teachers. And if you ask me, it's very helpful that they're not so uptight, they're also hairdressers.. I don't want a hairdresser who bores me, therefore i think they set a good example.Another thing, i'm polish, and not Italian at all.As far as i'm concerned the teachers like me. Their whole family's not even all italian, so some people really need to get their facts straight.Let's see what else...-You don't get charged for the week of vacation that you get.-They don't necessarily find a place for you to work when you get out, but they will help you, and they also post job openings on the bulletin board. Even if they didn't try craigslist.-they send you home if you're irresponsible and not prepared.-"they charge you for everything"... life isn't free.Sorry to anyone that thought i was being "down right snobby" ;-)I'm just defending my school. Although IIC has a very good reputation and these negative posts really shouldn't have any type of effect on them. Some people just couldn't commit to some of the expectations of the school such as actually coming to school? So they had to leave, and down grade to a lower class school that 1 out of 1000 salons have heard of...I highly recommend this school.... only if you actually want a good education and want to have a school to be proud of on your resumes when applying for a stylist position. If i were you, i would call and set up a tour :)Thanks a bunch,Nikki C.
