Mozzicato -De Pasquale's Bakery & Pastry Shop

Best bakery I know of, when I go home for a visit it is my 1st stop. Wish we had something like this in the south.

Mozzicato-De Pasquale is one of the best bakeries I have ever been to. In need of a quick birthday cake? Their fruit-filled or rum cakes are the way to go (get one of each, you will not be disappointed). If you are a bride or an expecting mother, their special events cakes are fabulous. I have ordered a two-tier baby shower cake and was impressed to find that they were willing to do different flavors for each tier. Also, when I was looking for a huge sheet cake with a Halloween theme, I took the request to them and they did an amazing job (my kids loved it!). They also have italian cookies and pasteries for holiday or office parties, wonderful breads and even pizza and calzones. Just a hint: If you go here on an empty stomach, you might buy more than you wanted but the prices are so great it will balance out in the end.

If you are expecting to be waited on promptly by a friendly face, forget Mozzicato's. If you need to be somewhere on time, don't bother stopping in.

If you're a busy bride and groom and make an appointment for a cake tasting, expect to be ignored. And be prepared to wait half an hour while the owner's daughter (with whom you made the appointment) sits in the caffe chatting.

I used to frequent Mozzicato's, mostly the caffe, and put up with the lack of service since it's the only game in town, decent cappu and cannoli at a late hour etc, but I was never happy about the wait.

Now I will go out of my way to NOT recommend them. I found better service, even as a walk-in, at Modern down the street. And we're getting our wedding cake from them, Gina. So you lost my $$$ and I will be sure to spread the word.

They make the best cannoli in the world.They have been around for a long time. My father would make a trip to Hartford just to get them fresh. They also make other good pastries. The bread is just like I in Italy, Fresh crispy crust.

Its always great when you can pre order cakes for a special occasion and just go and pick them up. Mozzicato de Pasquales Bakery and pastry Shop has some really good cakes and pastries. In my opinion, the prices are preety good and resonable, nothing too expensive. The staff there are good enough. A must for special occasions.

I got married a few months ago and was incredibly pleased with the service and attentiveness of the staff at Mozzicato's. Of course, as a bride I was very stressed about all of the planning that needed to be done for the wedding. They broke down the cake process into little steps for me and made the decision process very easy. They got the cake to the reception site without a problem. It looked even more beautiful that I had imagined. Everyone commented on delicious and beautiful the cake was. The reception site had recommended this bakery and actually had a preferred rate for them too. I compared other bakeries before deciding on Mozzicato's and found their price to be much more competitve. I highly recommend Mazzicato's in you need a wedding cake, and if you feel a little daring, get the chocolate - it was wonderful!

There are not words to describe how good this bakery is! Everything that comes out of their ovens is wonderful. Really wonderful! Their cookies and pastries are delicious! Their cakes are even better. You just cannot go wrong with a single item you can purchase here!

The staff is always pleasant and efficient and while the lines can be long and the place crowded, you are always served quickly.
