Connecticut Trolley Museum

We visited the trolley museum recently and had a fun time looking at the antique fire trucks, trolleys and train tables. The real fun is riding the trolley along the tracks and the ride is great! A huge disappointment for me was the cleanliness of the place though. Despite having so many wonderful antiques and a nice plot of land surrounding the tracks there doesn't seem to be much pride in the upkeep of the land in particular. As we rode the trolley through the woods there was old "junk" everywhere-not trash as in items people were eating and threw out but pieces of rotting wood, scrap metal, misc old trolley pieces, etc. There were several volunteers who seemed to be doing more "hanging out" than working and I have to think their time could be better spent. It would be nice to see such a great historic museum and great family place become more "eco-friendly" and put more effort into maintain a good exterior.
