Conserva Equine

Doc Conserva is an honorable Vet. What does that mean? He does only the treatment's you need. He keeps the best interest of you and your horse in mind over how much money he can make. This means he takes diagnosis and treatment to the highest level at the most reasonable cost.How can he do this? He knows what he is doing and has a great wealth of clinical experience.He lives close by to my farm and has made emergency calls here a couple of times in a matter of minutes. He had to put down one of my young horses due to fulminate viral disease and he felt as bad as I did. But he made the right clinical decision.He referred a very sick yearling to Tufts for me in 2002 and continued to help with phone calls to the hospital for another month. He viewed the care of this yearling as if it was his own.He did not charge me for the extra time these phone calls required.I think you will do well to use him for your equine veterinary needs.

A skilled diagnostician and caring vet who is highly recommended. Peter Conserva cares as much about people as he does about horses. He takes the time to explain his diagnostic steps and thought processes, answers questions, and follows up. When my horse had a life-threatening emergency this summer, he went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out. He maintained a calm, caring, and professional demeanor through the ordeal. My horse owes him his life!

Dr. Conserva lives nearby and my husband has known him for years. He takes care of our friends' horses in Granby. Dr. Conserva cares deeply for each and every horse he treats, and that was more than evident to us last summer when one of their horses was lost despite his heroic attempt to save the big fella. He jumped out of his truck and entered the barn at a dead run, but it was unfortunately too late - he's a wonderful, caring and incredibly intelligent man. If there's a rating higher than World Class, he gets it!

I have known Dr. Conserva for 6 years, and he has never failed to do what is best for the horses in my care. He is very knowledgeable, and continues to educate himself so he can stay current on newer techniques.

He always "tells it like it is" which some people don't care for, but in my opinion I think its great. He explains everything that he's doing, and what the potential problems are and what some alternative treatments are. He's gone out of his way to find the most cost effective treatments, which is definitely appreciated.

I find him to be a very knowledgeable and reliable vet and would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Conserva is one of the best in the area. He has come out in the middle of the night on numerous occasions, without complaint, to doctor horses and more then once has saved the life of a horse. We've used him for many years and would never switch. He is willing to give advice for free, and has shown us how to do basic vet care to save us money. Hes practical, dependable and always willing to share his knowledge.

Dr. Peter is an excellent vet for your horse, with about 40 years of experience. Good diagnostician . Although he took good care of our horse, we found his prices higher than other vets in the area and his "bedside manner" leaving something to be desired.
