My mother just had a back fusion surgery. Due to difficulty with anesthesia, she has had some major stomach problems post-surgery. The nurses are treating her TERRIBLY. No one is caring, attentive, or coming when they called. When we ask questions, they are cold or give off the impression that we are bothering them. My mom has not been able to eat for 9 days, and she barely even gets to see the doctor. No one will tell her what is going on. I'm really scared for my mom. I will NEVER recommend Backus Hospital to anyone. I gave birth there, and even that was not too satisfactory...

Go to a real hospital. This place is a killer. Total incompetence.
I know of no person who prefers this crap box. What a joke. Can't count the number of friends and lived ones killed here. seems to be only good for raising money.

I have had two children at Backus. The food was horrible and the night staff was grumpy. My mom has had several surgeries there and she agrees that the food is not very good. It is located right off the highway which makes it very easy to find. My husband has had two outpatient surgeries and all the nurses were extremely nice.

Terrible wait time at many locations. I've waited one hour just to get bloodwork done. Just to get paperwork done takes 3 different people you have to see.
