Came here on Saturday afternoon with the family to have a little fun. I've read good reviews of when the owner was present but my experience was far from good. There was only one employee there. We got ready to bowl and got through 3 turns before there was an issue with the balls no returning. My 3 year old son was told by the employee to not touch them and he sat down even though it was still his turn and she went and started throwing the balls at his pins. We told her it was still his turn she shrugged her shoulders and said I don't care. She then got on the phone and started laughing completely ignoring us. We asked to speak to the manager or owner and she told us "nope" then we said we will call during the week and what was her name and she said "I'm not telling you s***"
We will be making a complaint to the owner but this is just a wath out if you go there and have to deal with this woman, she's thick, dark hair was in a pony tail with a hat on. Miserable lady, no respect for families.

This place is AWESOME!

I hadn't bowled Duck Pin before, and the owner (Joe Tomas) and one of his employees (Frank) showed us all the tricks. From how to pick the right ball, to approach and lots more. It's like we got a professional Duckpin lesson for paying for a few games of bowling. I will definitely be back there.

Just to comment on the 1 stars post. Perillos doesn't charge for bowling before you play (one of the few alleys left that does not), and I saw these people come in and play for almost as long as we did. They said they only played 1 game (our group played 6) and even I knew this was BS. When Perillos tried to collect, one lady threw a tantrum, Sadly, the owner mentioned to me that this happens more than he would like.

It really sucks when you see a great place to gather and have fun, get ruined by some scammer just trying to get away with a few bucks, and make a scene.

The owner and employees here couldn't be friendlier, and the other customers bowling were funny and friendly too (except for the scammers). So please take that one star post with a grain of salt (or more like the whole salt shaker)... she probably got mad that she got busted and had to pay for what her group really bowled. Also, I payed with my credit card and Joe said he has been taking them for years. That makes me think the other person was just lying to trash this great Duckpin alley.

Give this place a try and you will see how great it is.

I came here from out of state and had such a fantastic time that I had to get on here and write a review! The owner, Joe Tomas, hung out with us the whole time we played. He showed us how to bowl using the smaller balls, told us the difference between 10 pin bowling, duck-pin, candle pin, etc. Gave us a real history of the sport. Probably the most enjoyable bowling experience of my life. I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a good time. Don't come expecting state-of-the-art equipment or anything like that but for the price you pay, it is an awesome deal. And a nice Connecticut experience to boot!

We attended a kids birthday party here, duck pin I think, and all the kids had such a good time. They had bumpers, so there were no discouraging gutter balls to contend with. It was clean and well organized. Parking was fine, there was plenty of it off the street. I remember it as being a really good time!
