This was a horrible experience for both my daughter and myself. I had to stop sending her to this montessori (Military) school half way as it was so painful to see how Manel Samarasighe treated the innocent children, including mine. I totally agree with the other parent how she talks about other kids with other parents. She had a group of friends that loved to gossip and get more attention for their kids. She gives some kids such a hard time that parents have no choice other than to pull them out of school but WILL NOT REFUND a penny!

Unfortunately it seems that any school that has some basic tenents of a Montessori school, can call themselves a Montessori school. My son started here when he was almost 3yrs old & when he experienced separation anxiety the head teacher completely refused to offer any compassion or help him overcome his anxiety. She literally sent him to a table to sit until he was done crying. I consider that horrible treatment, especially considering his age! It's a closed-door policy. They don't want parents in the classroom at all, other than the initial open house before the school year even begins. Parents are to drop off the kids & not enter the building. She almost twisted my son's arm when he was twisting to try to escape her grip & run out of the building, but she didn't let go of his arm as he was twisting himself into a pretzel, crying & offering no sympathy or affection.

Additionally, the head teacher discussed my child's behavior with other parents, which is a big NO-NO.

I was incredibly disappointed because the Montessori principles are about respecting children and this school unfortunately doesn't live up to that.
