I usually look forward to a dealership visit like I do a trip to the dentist, except that there is no anesthesia. This trip, however, proved to be completely different and was a pleasant surprise.
I had talked to Ron prior to my visit about the car I wanted; he was kind enough to tell me everything I needed to bring so that my purchase would go smoothly. Unfortunately, I arrived late for my appointment and waited to work out the deal, but that is my responsibility, not anyone else's. The staff I encountered were kind and courteous, showing my wife and I where we could sit and relax with a nice cuppa joe. My financial institution had goofed up the paperwork on their end, which made me worry that I wasn't going to be able to take delivery of the car. However, I was pleasantly surprised again. Between Ron, the Sales Manager, General Manager, and Steve Carter, they swung it so that I could purchase the car that day, with no hitches, haggles, or trouble on their end whatsoever.
I should also note that during the vehicle inspection, my wife noticed a cracked taillight. Ron immediately had a new one place on order so that it can be replaced at no cost to me.
I have nothing but high marks for Ron and the rest of the staff I dealt with at Carter Chevy last weekend. I got a good, reliable used car at a reasonable price. They worked with me, even though I was 45 minutes late and brought in hosed paperwork from my financial institution.
If a potential customer is reading this review and wondering if a trip to Carter is worthwhile, I say, "Go for it!" During my visit, I took time to peruse the used car inventory; there are some great deals on cars on the lot that I would have gladly bought, had I the money to do so. If you visit Carter Chevy, I don't think you'll regret it; in fact, I bet you'll probably find something you like and have a great experience like I and many others have.

Ron Sloan was my consultant and instantly treated me with respect. As a young female, normally car salesmen assume I don't know what I'm talking about or know anything about cars. Luckily, Ron was extraordinarily friendly and professional. He was an excellent guide and helped me purchase the car I really wanted. I am 100% pleased with my transaction and highly recommend Ron and Carter Chevrolet.

Andrew was very helpful when I was trying to figure out what car I wanted to get. I never felt pressured into buying a car and wasn't harassed with phone calls after I left the first time like other dealers had. He helped me decide which options I wanted on the car and worked hard to get what I wanted when they didn't have it on their lot. He worked with me to get rebates on the car and even stayed late at work so I could pick it up two days either! I would definitely recommend him to others.

I was looking for a chevy cruze that was reasonably priced for a teenager heading to college next year i definitely found one at carter and i love my new cruze. All of the employees were very helpful and friendly. Overall they deserve the great ratings because they were a great dealership to deal with, better then many others that i went to. I truly love my new car and cannot wait to drive it everywhere! Also bringing in some sweets for the employees can sweeten any deal.

Amazingly wonderful experience!

Ron Sloan graciously and without hesitation, stepped right up to serve me upon my impromptu entrance. After many other dealership (diff. manufacturer) visits that day, I left Carter Chevrolet with the exact right car for my needs and desires. To me, Chevy represents durability and practicality in engineering, cost, and design/style. That's what I came in for and that's exactly what I got, and it's because of both Ron's demeanor/knowledge combined with a fully supportive team effort working together on my behalf that made me unquestioningly know that I got the right car in the right place.

My husband has to sell the Army to those that already know the Army, the currently serving. Not so different from the expert salesman at this dealership, selling to an old base of supporters who have been through time tested ups and downs with this company. Ron, like my husband, have what I consider to be the most important traits of a successful salesman: knowledge, belief in the product, and integrity. Never once was I handed a line or felt as though I was being manipulated, pressured or pushed into anything other than what I expressed were my conservative needs. I was given frank and honest answers to my questions/inquiries and was consistently treated with patience and respect. All information surrounding the vehicle and purchase of it was laid out and explained fully.

Mr. Michael Moore, Sales Manager, was also a gracious host. He readily introduced himself to me, conducting himself with professionalism, courtesy and efficiency to help Mr. Sloan with anything he needed on my behalf without any feeling of an attempt to overshadow or neutralize Mr. Sloans work with me. Mr. Paul Koldras, picked up and performed all ending paperwork with the utmost expertise of a Business Manager. This is truly a great team, a well oiled machine, one that exemplifies what Chevrolet means to generations of American loyalist families. Great and trustworthy people in a comfortable environment. This was hands-down the BEST experience in a dealership I have ever had.

Sales - I bought my 2001 Chevrolet Blazer from slsmn. Christopher Duff, he was excellent! He had worked in all depts. at Carter's and could answer ANY questions you might have about any vehicle, which made me feel re-assured that I was going to purchase the right vehicle for me. Chris exceeded my expectations...knowledgeable, but not a pushy, fast talking salesman. Prices were Kelly Blue Book standards and weren't high priced...very fair. I'd recommend to anyone! Service - Ray, the service mgr., is the best! Always cheery, advises turnaround time for repairs and estimated prices on things they found. He will be up front with you if you can't afford all repairs; which ones are absolutely necessary and which ones can wait a little while. He always meets timelines and has vehicle ready in time!
