During the summer we loved going to eat out on the patio. You can even see the water a bit! You can watch the game while you have a beer or some of their great wings! It's a good time for good friends!

This is more of a bar with food than a restaurant which serves drinks. It's a typical bar food menu, though the food itself is generally fresh and decently prepared. Service is sometimes spotty, usually when it's VERY busy or VERY dead.
The place has good wings, salads and burgers, but it is *not* an upscale place like Citrus or Joe's American.
There are five of them in Connecticut: New Haven, Fairfield, Milford, Wallingford & Derby, and they're all the same. Both Fairfield and Milford are walkable from the train stations.

Archie Moore's was our choice for a romantic steak dinner. It turned out to be a really bad choice. After we were seated we waited over 15 minutes for table service and there was't any staff in sight in that entire time that we could have asked for help. We were thisclose to leaving when our waiter FINALLY showed up. We waited a very long time for our dinners - both of which were inedible because the cut of steak had so much tough fat in it that you could barely cut it with a steak knife and you could not chew it. The waiter seemed disinterested, so we left money for our drinks on the table and left. Never again!

Archies is a good summertime bar and grill, with a large deck in back for indoor or outdoor dining & drinking. Near the Milford library in the center of town.
