We went to Drescher's on 1/12/12
At 5 pm we were the only customers there. I asked for the warmest spot and was offered a booth.
It was very cold in there. I got up and read the thermostat and it read 68F.
I asked for it to be made warmer and the hostess said the man would be back in 10 minutes and only he could do it.
We said we were leaving.
We went next door to the SIgnature and ate there. It was warm in the Signature.
Drescher's Restaurant features good food in a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is attentive but the restaurant can be noisy when live entertainment is featured in the lounge. Parking downtown Waterbury is always a problem but the restaurant is worth the trouble to get to.
Drescher's is one of the most random bar/restaurant atmospheres I have ever been in. This place has an authentic german menu, with irish decorations and beers. I would recommend it.

The Garden Room of this restaurant has lots of pretty features--my family loved it. We had the Lunch Menu, which is decidedly different from the dinner menu. I don't know whether I would really classify this restaurant as Italian Food, though. Most of what I saw on the menu was German Food. Either way, if you love Char-Broiled burgers, this is the place to go. Staff is friendly and attentive. Dessert was good, too. A little expensive for burgers and fries, though.
