This restaurant used to be great. When we moved to Greenwich 17 years ago, this was the place we wanted to go for great food. We always considered it a treat.
In the past 2 to 3 years it has gone downhill fast. The service is awful starting from when you walk in the door. The food is worse. The last meal we had there, my partner ordered the chicken and it tasted as if it had been in a freezer for a year; it was inedible. When we brought it to the attention of the owner, he was dismissive and rude suggesting that we don't know what good food tastes like. Safe to say that was the last time we went in.
Save your money, the food at the diner across the street is much better.

Pros: Nice decor

Cons: Too many to name

.

A bit more 'formal' with wonderful food and a bit more pricey, but very much worth the visit. As the name depicts, very much a bistro atmosphere. Right near Mediterraneo.

The food was average for French bistrot fare, though the oysters (the bartman finally brought our second half-dozen oysters -- we had oredered a dozen -- after a request, halfway through our entree) were very fresh and good.
The price of drinks -- a few rounds each -- the dozen oysters, and two entrees came out to $160 -- which we thought exorbitant.

I have eaten hear many times and have never had a bad meal. I love French food and feel this restaurant does justice to the Bistro style of French food.

The new bar is very nice to sit at, I prefer to sit at the bar and the service is good.

The price point is fair and if you are into French Bisto's and are in the Greenwich area, it is the best choice.

We went to eat here based upon some good reviews, and it being walking distance to our house. It was a dire mistake.

I am an epicurean and have eaten at lots of French restaurants, and this one is a joke in regards to both the food and the service. It took several minutes to even get service after seating. For some reason, they don't leave wine bottles table side and the waiter was never around to refill our glasses.

The only decent dish of the night was the goat cheese and beet salad. The rest was under seasoned, cooked wrong, and just plain bad tasting. My fiances filet mignon was bland and not seasoned at all. The side of spinach was overcooked and slapped on the plate. My bouillabaisse tasted like it hadn't been seasoned at all (when eating something that has been cooking for hours and hours, that's important).

I gave it one more chance with desert. My fiances' flour-less chocolat cake was gritty and tasted like eating raw cocoa powder. The creme brulee was a complete abomination to chefs world wide. The custard was soupy and not set, and the sugar was soft like it had been previously caramelized and then left in a refrigerator for several hours. To top it off, there was a layer of grease on top of the sugar. Never have I seen a creme brulee recipe with butter or oil, so I'm unsure of where the grease came from. It was bad enough to send back.

The chefs here need to go back to day one of culinary school and learn how to use basic salt and pepper. Do not eat here if you like food.

One bottle of wine, two appetizers, two entrees, and desert was $210. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The food was more expensive than what I get in NYC. The host was a typical french snob and rude and the food was disgusting! Not worth it!

My fiance and I went on Valentine's Day for a special dinner. As soon as we walked in, the owner offered us a table in the bar area. I refused and told him that I wanted to sit in the main dining area and he had a waiter escort us to the back of the restaurat where it was freezing cold. I told the waiter that I wanted to sit in the main dining area and the waiter was very accommodating. I am Asian American and I've noticed as I was having dinner that another Asian couple walked in, and the owner escorted them to the back when there were two-table seats in the main dining area. And worst of all, the food was awful and super expensive. The french onion soup tasted worse than Campbell soup and the filet mignon had a rubbery texture. YOU SHOULD NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT UNLESS YOU LIKE TO THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY !!!

This very french Bistro lives up to its location. The food was wonderful, and so was the authentic French service. The cost was very reasonable considering it's located in such an affluent town.

Would and will be going back soon.
