Kathy Johns Food & Ice Cream

Kathy Johns is a big diner like family restaurant on the road to the University of Connecticut. When something is happening there, you can't even get in the door at Kathy John's. The food is good, the service can be slow at times and the ice cream is really good. A great place to stop on you way to or from UCONN.

The ice cream is very smooth and rich and the hot fudge is the best I have had in the Hartford area. They make some of the best sandwiches and you absolutely must have their french fries. Be prepared to wait for a booth during busy times as this is a very popular eating establishment. However, it is well worth the wait.
