Gip's is a decent place that doesn't get quite the attention it needs.
The good:
1) The bartenders are friendlly and the drinks are great. The food is generally good, and it has an ungodly number of TVs, even for a sports bar.
2) They've got 2 electronic dartboards, an Internet jukebox, one of those hunting video games and is one of the dozen or so places in CT to play ITG Trivia, though they only have 1 channel.
3) They've doubled the parking lot and added a nice outdoor patio.
4) Prices are downright reasonable!
The bad:
1) The waitresses in the restaurant section are generally lackluster: drinks and meals are wrong or simply don't arrive fairly often.
The ugly:
1) The bathrooms are AWFUL, or at least the men's room is. Sitting on the toilet is NOT an option.

Gippers is more of a sports bar than a restaurant, although they do have decent food and service. A good place to watch Monday Night Football, although it can get loud and crowded. They also have interactive trivia that you can play on the TV screen, competing against other bar patrons.
