We are sorry to hear that you have concerns about the care your puppy received at our hospital. It is our goal to provide our clients with as much medical information as possible about their pet's condition so that an educated choice can be made in regards to the treatment options.
We also want to ensure the utmost safety of our patients. In your case, after diagnosing your puppy's genetic disease, we recommended a referral to Tufts University Veterinary Medical Center because we felt your pet would receive the most advanced care for her condition.
The cost of the surgical procedure at Tufts is usually discussed with the owners before any medical or surgical steps are taken.
In regards to your second complaint, radiographs were taken at our hospital to determine the location of the foreign body in your pet's intestines. If the foreign body would have been entagled in her intestinal tract, a more aggressive treatment might have been necessary. The diagnostic options were discussed with your mother-in-law before any steps were taken since you and your husband were out of town at the time.
It was your mother-in-law's decision to proceed with the x-rays.
Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

We love Yalesville Veterinary Hospital. The Dr.s are compassionate and kind. It's the only hospital we go to, and we recommend it to everyone. It's reasonably priced too!

We had bought a yellow lab puppy that at only four months old we found out she had a liver shunt. Yalesville told us it could be fixed only after we had spent a couple thousand dollars did they tell us there are two different kinds operable and not non operable. They told us she needed 24 hour care, we know now that this was not necessary. We had to go to Tufts University have the surgery which cost a ton of money. This past week our dog got into my underwear and my mother-in law rushed her to Yalesville. Instead of giving us the medicine to see if it would pass they immediately did X-rays and did not contact myself or my husband. They x-rays cost $350 and of course that day it passed through. I believe that Yalesville tries to do things in the best interest of the animals yet they have no regard for the people paying for it all.

The front desk is also a joke...The woman are rude and after spending the money we spent have very little respect for us.

One positive note: The techs are very nice and are very good with the amimals.
