We visit Sam the Clam's 2 Go during the year more often during Lent, on a recent Friday they lost our order, at 7:00 was out of Lobster bisque, soup got cold while waiting 25 min. for them to prepare a new order for us. When our food was brought to the counter we were told there is no marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks. It was a real turnoff on a busy night of the week losing our order and running out of so many items on the menu.

Sam The Clams 2 Go is across the street from their main restaurant. The cute little blue building with a seaside decor has limited parking (about 7 spaces). They have great fried clams - but frankly their french fries leave a lot to be desired. They are almost raw and mushy. The fish part of the fish and chips is fine - but nothing special. I have not tried any non-seafood item on the menu so I can't speak to the quality.

PROS: good fried clams
CONS: mushy fries

We use Sam The Clams 2 Go quite often for good take-out. It is far more convenient to have a separate building for take-out instead of having to wait at the bar in the main restaurant. The food is great - try the wings. They do seem to nickel and dime you, charging for extra sauces and such, which I find annoying. Seafood is good.
