I graduated from here in 1995 and know that there are a lot of the same teachers here that were here when I attended. It was pretty good experience. Most of the teachers are genuinely interested in helping the students become educated and of course, there were some lethargic and disinterested teachers too, but in general you can feel like your child is getting a good education here.

Tolland High school encompasses everything middle class: mediocrity through and through. Whether it be the education it offers, the facilities on campus, or the general attitude of the school--nothing seems to reach beyond average.

To be sure, there are excellent teachers there--Mrs. Parzych, Mr. Leeds, Mr. Legee, and others to be sure. But the collective will of the students and teachers is nothing out of the ordinary, nothing to inspire you beyond what you might have accomplished somewhere else. There are no Joe Clarks at Tolland High School.

Tolland itself remains a predominantly white, middle-class town, itself without much collective energy to be something more than that. It is a good place to rest and feel comfortable.

PROS: Quiet, adequate
CONS: Nothing more than average, not very diverse
