I've gone to Miso Japanese Restaurant twice and once to Dozo Japanese Restauarant that I later learned was part of the same chain; I must say that both restaurants were of the lowest quality that I have experienced here in New Haven. For better sushi you can go to practically any of the other Japanese places in the city.

Miso Japanese restaurant is really great sushi. They have the standards on their menu. The restaurant has a comfortable feel to it and you have to check out the women's bathroom. It is just amazing! The bathroom is worth the visit alone!!

If you are into partying and drinking, Miso becomes a party that goes on until dawn especially if you know somebody who works there (which I do). The owner Ming is a generous host who allows the drinks to flow way after hours. However, if you love food prepared well, New Haven has got many other restaurants many of which are fantastic because they are serious about the food. For the best Japanese in town (and the state) try Sona Bana or Miya's Sushi which are two restaurants that are interestingly polar opposites in style but both furiously serious about their food.

Pros: good time

Cons: not good food
