The Shubert is just like being at a New York City theatre without leaving the state. They generally have a great season of broadway plays that are much less expensive that going to the "City" and these road shows are always entertaining. The only problem is the top balcony. Never get tickets up here if you are afraid of heights... it is very high and very steep but if you don't mind heights, the view of the stage is unimpeded and you may actually be closer than some of the orchestra seats.

Saw Stomp here. Very good show. Cute theater, you feel close to the stage. It's an old theater so the seats are small. My husband is big and I was pregnant at the time and we were both uncomfortable from the small seats and lack of legroom.

If going to Broadway is more your style, you want to visit the Shubert Theatre. It seats over a thousand people in several different balconies.

This theatre is live theatre, no movies here. You'll see the popular shows -- Rent, Grease, Annie, etc., but you'll also see shows that haven't made it to Broadway yet, or shows that have closed from Broadway and now are touring only.

Tickets can be pricey... $75 each, which is on-par with Broadway, but the quality is very good for most shows.

Parking garage on scene usually costs about $6 for the event.
