I've had a great experience with this vet. They helped my cat when I had an emergency - took care of my dog since she was a puppy and had positive experiences every time.

The only problem is that there's a lot of employee changes - maybe for the best after reading some of the other posts.

I tried several vets for my animals and I wouldn't take my animals any place else.

I had a similar experience to the gentleman who was treated rudely by the vet tech. When I took my cat there for a second opinion, she thought my cat was going to urinate in his carrier ( because of his condition) and made a big deal of that. I would have cleaned up any urine- which he didn't. She consistently called him a different name and when they gave me syringes they filled with his medication, the fluid inside seemed to evaporate so there was nothing left to inject in him. When I phoned them to ask about this- they were quite rude initially and when I finally asked if they were sure if they knew who I was because they still weren't calling my cat by the correct name and I actually thought they were giving me a diagnosis for another cat- they were nicer , said that the medication often would separate and offered to refill them. I was too annoyed at this point to return and went to another vet and started over. I have heard the male vet tech there is great so this review is only based on what I experienced with her and she was a tech not the Vet.

When Dr. Carlson was at Park Lane, it was a wonderful place, however I have had to bring our dogs in recently, and I found the vet(s) to be rude on the follow up visit from surgery. My previously healthy dog had a small cyst removed and ever since has had problems eating. When I brought her back in, she had x-rays, which showed her throat was swollen to the point of pushing against her trachea, and after subsequent meds and another follow up visit, as she was STILL not eating, the vet was rude, I asked if they used a tube down her throat during the previous surgery, to try and figure out why her throat was causing problems, and he asked why I thought it was her throat that was the problem (Ummm, YOU said so?!) and he said to give her an antacid.
We still bring our animals there, but we are actively looking for a more compassionate vet.

I brought my 5 lb. cat in to be spayed last month. I was told that other than being "a little underweight", she was fine. After allowing for recovery time, I realized soon that my formerly healthy cat was now very ill. I called to inform the staff SEVERAL times of my cat's declining health, but since I am disabled and wouldn't have been able to pay the bill until ten days from now, I was told I could NOT bring her in. I'm just a former Army Medic with 25 yrs. experience, not a trained vet "TECH" and so I made one more frantic phone call today to plead for the cat to be seen, as she was no longer able to DRINK or URINATE, and down to about 3 1/2 lbs. by now. Not only were we turned away, but the trained vet "TECH" was snotty, condescending, and sarcastic. She obviously skipped out on class in her trained vet "TECH " school the day they taught compassion, or maybe she was taking classes online and her computer went down.Thankfully-if it's not too LATE- I found a very concerned vet to take me at my word that I wouldnt skip out on the bill -to see my suffering cat today. He obviously attended class in his actual VET school every day. I hope it's not too late. As to the trained vet "TECH" with her stupid, mindless comment about letting my kid eat McDonalds if he wouldnt eat his vegetables-yes, dummy, if I thought my child might be dying -as he could no longer DRINK or URINATE, I think I might give him a burger if he wanted it. But of course I'm not a trained vet "TECH".

We travel over an hour each way to get to Park Lane Animal Hospital. We just put our 12 year old dog down as a result of a life long battle with Addisons and Diabetes. The addisons required that she receive an injection every 28 days. Therefore, for 12 years, we made this trip monthly. Although we had to put our baby down, we will continue to journey to New Milford as we trust no one else with our pets. Thank You Park Lane for your care and dedication to the animals. It has meant the world to us. Deb and Dan T.

Park Lane Animal hospital is great! The care they give your animals is above and beyond. Before ANY tests they give me a detail report of the costs. They truly want the best for every animal. They are great and I would never go anywhere else!

I did not have a nice experience at this office. When Dr. Carlson was there I loved it, but now that it has been taken over I have since then changed to another vet in town. A word of advice, make sure you know what you are paying for...make sure everything is explained in details before it is done, so you know exactly what you are being charged for. I had an unfortunate experience and unauthorized tests were completed on my pet, and I was billed for them. Make sure this doesn't happen to you! A simple visit could cost you hundreds!

This vet is awesome. He is very good with the animals. He explains everything that he is doing and all of the treatment options. When my cat got cancer and had to be put down, he was very kind and considerate and gave us time to say goodbye. He then sent a sympathy card which I thought was a nice gesture. His office is always very clean and the waiting room is pleasant. He also does not charge an arm and a leg even when its outside of office hours.

PROS: Affordable, knowledgeable, nice vet
CONS:
