This is the 1st wedding dress store I stepped foot into looking for MY wedding dress... I was clueless, had no idea what type of dress I wanted. Thanks to Julie & Bridal Trousseau, I left with the perfect dress! Julie was the BEST, so helpful, genuine, sweet and made me feel right at home! I loved the experience with her so much, I took a girlfriend to Bridal Trousseau a few months later, another fantastic experience, she found her dress there too! Thanks Julie! :)

Let's start by saying that I had the most amazing experience at this bridal shop. As I walked in the shop It felt like a very friendly place, and was created by Julie. She asked me what I was looking for, And i showed her a picture from my phone. She found a dress for me and them left me to go around the store and pick ones that I liked. I could say that the dress that Julie picked out and the first one I tried on was the dress of my dreams. Julie was very patient, sincere, and caring I could say I walked out of the store with a new friend. Not only did I find my dream dress, but I also had a vision of what I wanted my veil and Julie made it happen. I got my dream custom veil, Julie understood my vision and made it happen. Girls if you want the experience of you life, please go there and ask for Julie. Thank you to all the staff there, specially Julie!!!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Bridal Trousseau!! I saw the wedding dress I wanted in the Knot magazine. They had the dress and it was simple!! I knew exactly what I wanted!! Julie was amazing, along with all the other ladies!! I couldn't have asked for better service and they were very accommodating! I wish I could do it all over again!! I found the wedding dress of my dreams at Bridal Trousseau thanks to the amazing owners and staff, especially Julie! From the moment I picked out my dress, through every gown fitting and to the day I picked up my gown, Julie was incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. While not a bride, I went to Bridal Trousseau with my sister to look for her gown. It was an unbelievable experience!! Julie was super duper friendly, helpful, beyond professional and made us feel like family! My sister found the dress that was made for her and we couldn't have been happier with the experience! I loved it so much there, that I recommend anyone I know looking for a dress to go work with Julie! In fact, I sent one of my fabulous friends there and she also found an amazing dress while working with Julie( we've even been back to visit the dress!!) I found 2 beautiful wedding gowns here! After many months of pondering and several visits to other bridal shops I set my sights on a stunning Maggie Sottero gown with the help of Julie & Tim. I visited bridal trousseau recently with my family and friends! Julie helped us and she was truly amazing!!! She eased my anxieties and helped me choose between 2 completely different dresses! It felt like I was shopping with my best friend not a brides consultant trying to make a quick sale! She was patient, understanding, and pointed out allot of pros and cons about each dress that helped make my decision easier. The one thing I have to say is there was a woman with dark hair not sure if she was an owner or manager but she interrupted our appointment a few times and gave opinions that confused me. I had an amazing experience at bridal trousseau!! Jodi was my consultant and she took my pictures and found a dress I wouldn't have imagined picking off the hanger and that's the one I fell in love with!! She was patient, honest, and wonderful!! I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone! All the girls there were lovely! Even though Jodi was my consultant all the girls were welcoming! Jodi you are wonderful! As the father of the bride, the happiness of my daughter was paramount in all aspects of her wedding. My daughter chose Bridal Trousseau because it was only one of two places that her designer's dresses could be purchased in the NY area. They provided a wonderful environment and were able to provide professional and caring guidance to my daughter. When a problem was discovered with my daughter's dress, both Julie and Lisa dealt with the problem head on, without excuses. Their close relationship with the designer resulted in a replacement dress being overnighted and alterations being expedited by Bridal Trousseau. The result was a perfect dress and a happy daughter. Bridal Trousseau delivers all and more than you would expect, they provide old-time customer service.

Bridal Trousseau in Branford was an amazing bridal store to work with! I have been to 6 other bridal boutiques and Bridal Trousseau was by far the best. My bridal consultant was Julie - she was amazing! In fact all the consultants were very helpful! Julie took the time to help me choose the dress of my dreams. I was extremely impressed when I had an appointment in January and she remembered what I liked and didn't like when I went in July to buy my dress! She acted more as a good friend than a bridal consultant!

Some Pros that were important to me that Bridal Trousseau was are:
-Friendly Environment
-Extremely helpful staff
-Clean Boutique
-Lots of Dresses and Updated Stock
-NEVER rushed or pushed me into a dress

Do not waste your time with other Bridal Boutiques in Connecticut - Bridal Trousseau is the only one to visit!

Let me start by listing a few of the places I looked for a gown: The White Dress, Kleinfeld, The Plumed Serpent, Mariellas and Camilles.I had previously gone to Bridal T months earlier to browse; and I just knew I had to go back and have Julie help me.

I requested Julie, she remembered my name, my style and that I didn't like lace.... 3 months later!!!!! She remembered what dresses I didn't like, but most importantly got out new dresses and that I immediately fell in love with. NEVER ONCE did I feel pressured to put on anything I didn't like; I felt so comfortable saying no to a dress, and she never tried to convince me to "try it on anyway" like other salons did.

I felt like she was one of my bridesmaids; so nice, great conversations, I could relate to easily, but she really made my wedding dress experience amazing... like it is supposed to be.

Once "WE" (Julie and I) decided on Christopher Matthew she called him up and let me talk to him on the phone!!!!! How amazing is she!!!!!!!! I was just in such awe!!!

All bridal jewelry is beautiful; BUT she picked out the pieces that spoke to me, I wasn't imitating someone else's style, I wasn't pressured into jewelry I didn't like, SHE choose EXACTLY what I wanted all along and didn't know where to look.

If you are a prospective bride "with no clue with to begin", Call Bridal Trousseau, ask for JULIE and I promise you after your appointment together you leave with a friend, a great experience to boast about and the gown that you will walk down to aisle in.

I found my wedding dress yesterday! Bridal Trousseau was the first bridal salon I ever went to. I went there specifically for their selection of Pronovias dresses. The salon had the best selection of this desiner's dresses in the state. The selection of the gowns was important to me because I was looking for something a bit more streamlined and less traditional, however they had all types of dresses.

Apart from the selection, my experience was great. I worked with the bridal consultant Julie. She was amazing. She asked me what I wanted and within what seemed like a few minutes she had a dressing room filled with dresses that surpassed any of my expectations. I had a ton of pictures with me and she was sure to pull both the exact dresses I wanted, but even more important she had me try on dresses completely different from what I wanted to help me solidify my experience. She was patient and made me feel unbelievably comfortable. Most importantly, I was so nervous and stressed about this decision and when I was with her, all my nerves went out the door and we had so much fun.

What resulted was a fun day with my friends and family. I left purchasing my dream dress and feeling more beautiful than I have in a very long time. I can't wait to go back and see everyone and thank Julie again for her help during this once in a lifetime experiance.

After hearing TONS of great things from friends who have been to Bridal Trousseau, I decided this was the place I was going to go for my wedding dress. The second I walked in & met Julie, I knew it was going to be a great experience. I loved the fact that they had all of their dresses on display, rather than in the back where you cannot see any of them. Julie was extremely personable & made me feel confident that the dress I chose was the right one. She even gave me, my mom & sister champagne when I picked out my dress! I am recommending this place to everyone!!

I went to several bridal places searching for my dress and I went to bridal Trousea and met julie and Carissa who helped me find my dream dress and they both were so amazing to me and made me feel so special. I went to Bridal Trouseau in Branford for the first time on January 27th. I was very hestitant going anywhere for my dress because of the horrible time I had at Kleinfelds in early December. My hesitation was replaced with excitement when I met Julie and she started putting me in dresses. Before we even got back into the fitting room, we talked about what exactly I wanted and how I wanted to look. By the time we both got back to the dressing room, there were 10 dresses back there, as Julie said "just to start." Ladies, lets face it, we are naked in front of these consultants, we have to be comfortable......thats exactly how Julie made me feel. There was no get me in and get me out. Julie was so patient, even when I am standing in the mirror and saying, " I like it, but I dont love it.....and I dont know why." I would've smacked me at that point if I was her. Julie knows how a dress is going to look on you even before you put it on. Needless to say I got my dress and the time was so fabulous I got my mother to try on dresses for my wedding day (not an easy task). Only deal with Julie, she is AWESOME!!!

I had a fabulous experience at this bridal shop! Not only did they have a great selection of dresses and accessories but they have an experienced friendly and very helpful staff. I had gone to 2 other shops before I had my appointment with Julie at Bridal Trousseau and my time with her cannot even compare to the others. Right off my family and I felt right at home and welcome. Julie was great! Not only did she help me find my perfect dress but she had expert advice when I was stuck or unsure. I was torn between 2 completley different dresses and she helped me to think "outside the box" to help determine which dress was the right dress for me and my wedding. Last Wednesday my maid of honor and I walked into Bridal Trousseau never having been there before. I was met by Julie who was extremely personable and excited to help us look for bridesmaid dresses. Once I explained to Julie the vision for my wedding, she was quickly able to pull dresses that were exactly what I was looking for. She made the whole process easy and fun, unlike other bridal shops I had been to before. Julie did not pressure us in the least. She was a good listener and offered great advice on styles and colors for the season of my wedding. Within a half hour I found the perfect dress for my bridal party. I had the BEST experience at Bridal Trousseau 2 weeks ago!!! Everyone was so nice but if it wasn't for Julie, I do not think I would have found my dream dress!!! She was WONDERFUL! At my appointment, she was so honest and patient with me the entire time! I never thought she was just telling me what I wanted to hear. She made me feel beautiful in everything I was in, but also lead me to try on things I NEVER thought I could wear! I ended up in a dress so far from my first thoughts, but couldn't be happier! Julie with Bridal Trousseau is totally WORLD CLASS and I can't begin to thank her enough for making my wedding perfect!!! I ordered a dress from Julie and when it arrived, I reliezed it was not the dress that I thought I ordered (totally my fault since I hadn't confirmed what I thougth I ordered, I just ordered by name.) PANIC! PANIC! PANIC!!!! I was having a terrible day already and then seeing the wrong dress I was totally devasted! Before I know it, in comes Julie to save the day (or better put to save the wedding!) She worked with what they avialable and found me a dress similiar to what I thought I ordered. In the end, I got a beautiful Maggie dress that is truly show stopping, much more so than the dress I thought I ordered. The dress is PERFECT but what truly made this an experience I won't forget is Julie. Julie treated me like a sister to ensure that I got a lace gown that I wanted and that everything for the wedding was perfect. THANK YOU, JULIE!!!

Bridal Trousseau's consultant Julie is top knotch! I'd been eyeing a certain Sottero & Midgley gown at a few other bridal boutiques but none of the consultants gave me the reassurance that Julie did at Bridal Trousseau on Main. I was in love with the dress from the first time I tried it on, but since I am on the shorter side and all of the samples were very long, I was unsure how the bottom would fit or how easy it would be to walk in once it was fitted to my length. But Julie was extremely personable and comforting over the phone which is why I decided to set up an appointment with her, and I'm glad I did! She reassured me of options that no other boutiques even informed me of, like ordering a petite length that would allow for a better fit on the bottom for me, or altering the bottom hemline. She eased the mind of a very indecisive and overanalyzing bride-to-be, and now I cannot wait to try my dress on again for my first official fitting! Thanks Julie!

This shop and the associates truly made my bridal experience memorable and heartfelt. I had been anxious about trying dresses on and being able to find one that would fit me. I had been to David Bridal and really didn't have the best experience finding dresses that flattered my body. My sister and I made an appointment with Julie and decided to bring my mother and a close family friend. Julie worked with me to find dresses that I was interested in. She made me feel totally relaxed and comfortable. Her suggestions were on point, and every dress I put on, I felt look amazing! She was able to really work with the whole group and I in order to really focus on what I specifically wanted in a dress. The dresses were affordable and beautiful. The shop had so many dress in my price range.
Julie's personality really clicked with my sister and I's. We laughed, they pushed and pulled, and I came out looking beautiful. She found the perfect dress and everyone fell in love, to the point of lots of tears and hugging. I will be bringing my bridal party to Bridal Trousseau. She is one of a kind. I absolutely love my dress! Thank you Julie for really making this a great day and a wonderful experience. Needless to say, I said yes to the dress!

My daughter and I had an appointment with Bridal Trousseau and upon arriving we were greeted by Julie, we had forgotten to bring the pictures of dresses my daughter cut out. She explained to Julie what she thought she was looking for and Julie immediately said "I have the perfect dress for you" It was the first one of about 9 that she tried on and it was truly perfect. We spent over two hours with Julie who gave us her undivided attention. The experience was fabulous and Julie is an asset that her boss Lisa must really be grateful for. She is AMAZING! We will recommend her and the store to everyone. This was the first store we went to and bought the perfect dress. Thank-You for making this a memorable day.

Bridal Trousseau was the 3rd bridal shop I visited for my wedding gown. Lisa was first to help me and she was great. After trying on about 3 dresses, I thought I found "the one". Julie ended up taking over to help me on my search. While helping me, Julie was kind, honest, super friendly and I ended up finding "the" dress. Julie and I connected right away and I enjoyed working with her. I appreciated Lisa's help as well because she had me speak to my designer personally so that I can order my dress exactly to my size and liking. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back for my final fitting.

Just recently my sister and I had an amazing experience at Bridal Trousseau. We both went on the same day and worked with Julie and she was absolutely wonderful. Although my sister had made the appointment, Julie took the time to also let me try on dresses as well. She spent hours with us both, helping us both try on dresses. She even stayed later than she was supposed to work so that she could continue to help us! She was sweet, helpful and wonderful to both of us and our family. We both walked away that day with our dresses! I truly recommend Bridal Trousseau. Julie is absolutely wonderful to work with! Lisa was also helpful and sweet as well. My sister and I had a spectacular experience and highly recommend Bridal Trousseau if you are looking for a wedding dress!

Awesome customer service!! Julie helped me at the recent trunk show. She was AMAZING! You can tell she absolutely loves her job. She is so enthusiastic about weddings. She made me feel like she cared about MY wedding and every little detail. She was not just trying to make a quick sale, but she focused on finding the best veil and headband that would fit my personality and wedding dress! They even stayed open late while I took pictures to send to my mom, and for my sister to browse through the bridesmaids dresses! This occurred on Thursday 8/18/11 at 6PM.

Service was wonderful. They were willing to work with me and really wowed my mom who is a tough cookie. Ordered my dress and will update when it comes in for alterations. Update: The dress came in and IT IS PERFECT! Jody and Julie helped me on a busy Saturday to have alterations done at the same time my mom, godmother, and maid of honor could see it on me finally! Jody knows her stuff and was able to pin everything and gave me great advice for undergarments. Julie made me feel like a long-lost best friend! She looked like she could cry when she saw me in my beautiful Ambrosia by Maggie Sottero. She loved the little accents and accessories I was planning on. Both Jody and Julie wanted me to look perfect on my wedding day and they were just the experts I was looking for while also adding that personal touch and helping me to become even more excited about my wedding. Jody was able to quote a price for total alterations and get things rolling quickly. Really affordable! I was expecting to pay so much more! Totally recommend them!!! :)

I came across bridal trousseau through a wedding blog and saw a fellow bride helped me get into contact with them as they had a gown I had been searching for. I'm from California and took a leap of faith and purchased a Pronovias sample gown from their internet division. I received the gown and for being a sample gown, it's immaculate! Beautiful gown! I'm so excited they offer selling their sample gowns online and having them accessible to brides across the country!

Julia is wonderful!! She is extremely helpful!! I was on a budget and looking to buy a quality dress for less. The dress she offered was really gorgeous and I got a great price on it, about % 70 off the retail price. I would definitely recommend them!

I showed up for my appointment a couple minutes early and noone bothered to welcome me when I came in. I didn't think much of it since I was a little early and expected someone to greet me shortly. So, I started to browse the dresses on the rack and after about 10 minutes, another bride showed up with a group of about 6 people. Two women rushed to greet her at the door, and as they greeted each person in the circle they stumbled upon me and assumed I was part of the bridal party. When I replied that I had a separate appointment I got a suprised "For Bridal?" question. After confirming that yes, I was there for a bridal appintment and they confirmed that yes, they did have me in the books, I was told to start browsing the dresses and someone would be with me.

Meanwhile, the other girl with her entourage got the full attention of a saleswoman and orientation to the dresses in the store. I was not thrilled with the initial lukewarm welcome, even though ultimately someone did help me try on a few gowns. I did not find anything that I loved, which was fine with me considering that I felt like a second rate customer. Apparently, if you show up with an entourage you will be treated much better at this store than if you show up solo.

This was the BEST bridal experience I could have ever asked for! Paula was just fantastic with me. The owner is extremely helpful and knowledgable about designers and just the overall experience of wedding dress shopping. The other girl who claims this store is terrible is completely out of her mind. I recommend this store to anyone who is looking for the best service in CT. I cannot wait to go back to try on my gown! For those who dont know this is the internet division of Bridal Trousseau that sells discounted samples and new stock for couture brands such as jim hjelm, alvina valenta, rivini, Sottero & Midgley, Maggie Sottero , Mathew christopher and so many more! Julie was so understanding and helpful throughout the whole purchasing process- i was hestitant to purchase over the internet at first, but Julie reassured me the whole way sending me photos and measurements etc. She is a truly honest and genuine person and totally worked with my budget (unlike some other bridal salons that just want to make a sale!). I honestly loved Jodi and Tim. They were great. Stayed late when i was dress shopping to accommodate my work schedule, were attentive to my needs, offered great suggestions. I will admit though, i did not and will not buy any accessories there, the other consultants were a little stress-inducing when i had my first fitting trying to say i needed to order all this stuff right away, etc. I didn't because my aunt can make my veil and stuff.
Overall though, I would suggest going with Jodi or Tim. lovely people to work with.

My daughter ordered a Matthew Christopher gown 9 months before her wedding. When it arrived much later than promised, it was much too tight (she's a size 8 and had lost 10 lbs since the fitting). When we asked how this could have happened since we were told that the gown would be custom made according to the measurements Lisa (co-owner) had taken, we were rudely told that it was not a custom made gown but had a custom hem. They tried to convince her that the dress did fit even though she couldn't sit down, and when on to say that the dress would stretch. We had to take the gown to an independent seamstress to have it altered properly. She had also ordered a headpiece and satin gloves when she ordered the gown. The headpiece arrived 3 weeks before her wedding and NYLON gloves were sent to her 2 DAYS before the wedding. When we called to say they were the wrong gloves, we were rudely told that we just didn't know the difference between satin and nylon. After spending almost $4000 in their shop, they never tried to rectify any of the problems. Shopping at Bridal Trousseau was definitely a stressful experience - poor customer service, difficult and unknowledgeable co-owners with very bad attitudes. This shop doesn't deserve even 1 star, it deserves a 0.

They did it again!!! Great Service!!! love this place..JUST BOUGHT A BEAUTIFUL BARY JAY DRESS FOR MY SISTERS WEDDING! lis is the best i tell yout his team of employees is superb..i also bought a simply GORGEOUS head band that matches my Maggie sottero dress perfectly! I just love this place..will never go anywhere else..cant wait to bring my mothers in law and my grandmother for their dresses!!!

This was to be one of many stops for us, but it was the only place we needed to go!!
My daughter was looking for her wedding dress and I was looking for that - oh so hard to find mother-of-the-bride dress.
Lisa and Sandra were unbelievable.
They asked us a couple of questions as to our style and taste and then proceeded to line up at least a dozen dresses for each of us to try on. One more beautiful than the next.
Their honesty and industry knowledge was almost the best part, but we must tell you, the very BEST part was walking out of there with dresses we absolutely LOVE and without going over our strict budget.
Go ahead, grab a cup of coffee and stop in - you won't regret it and I'll bet you find something beautiful.

I am a bride that had a Wonderful experience at BRIDAL TROUSSEAU! Let me tell you about my story. From the first day I was Happily greeted by JODI AND LISA. They knew right away what style wedding gown would look AMAZING on me. They picked 3 RIVINI Gowns and my Wonderful Gown Bridal Gown BY MATTHEW CHRISTOPHER. They went way above then what i had expected. I am a tought person to please!

I went back to BRIDAL TROUSSEAU to pick out my accesories. TIM was Fanstic!! He knew exactly what would complete my look. He had some great ideas that I did not eve think of! THANKS TIM!

I picked a BILL LEVKOFF dress for my 8 Bridesmaids. Two girls were from out of town and i still did not have a problem with fittings! JODI AND LISA were right there and made sure all the girls were fitted properly by GEOVANA. Geovana had her hands full we had all different sizes and heights changes tobe made.

When I came to pick upmy Wedding Gown and all my accessories LISA AND JODI were there making sure everything was in place. For such a stressful time in someones life BRIDAL TROUSSEAU made my experience the BEST! I AM TELLING YOU THEY WERE FANTASTIC and I can not say anything bad about them.

I RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE! YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. AND THAT IS COMING FROM A VERY DEMANDING BRIDE!!

Highly recommend!! I was married this past summer and purchased my bridal gown at Bridal Trousseau. I was between two dresses (one at another store and one at Bridal Trousseau). I decided on a dress by Pronovias and couldn't have been happier with my decision. They were always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I reccommend this to anyone looking for a great personal experience when searching for your bridal gown. By the end of my experience with Bridal trousseau I felt the owners were more like friends as they were there for me with every aspect of my wedding.

During my search for my bridal gown I found that Bridal Trousseau had the best selection and was so accomodating and understood exactly what I was looking for. Compared to other salons I thought they had the most to offer in style and price.
