I have been using HAH for about 30 years. They are always very caring and compassionate. Over the years I have had to put down 2 cats and 2 dogs, most recently my beloved Bouvier in Feb. 2010. Dr. Mooney is so caring and makes you feel like you have made the right decision. I would highly recommend Dr. Mooney and Dr. Kaufman. We have dealt with both for many years and have found them to be exceptional.

Dr Hal Mooney is truly the most caring, compassionate vet on this earth - when we had to put our beloved dog to sleep he came to our house and performed the inevitable. Of course, we were all crying (including Hal) but it was so humane in what could have been more awful than it was. With our new dog in tow we travle through two towns and passed several animal hospitals to get to HAH. The one star reviewer must have been having a bad day!!!!

I have taken my pets here since I moved to Ct six years ago. The best most caring staff ever. Kind compassionate, and very through, my husband always jokes and says he wishes he could go there.

You will never have to worry about your pets in the care of this great staff.

I just brought in my new puppy and we had a wonderful visit! Prior to my visit I callled around to other offices to get a feel for the staff and compare prices. I was impressed with the receptionist that I spoke with - she answered my questions and congratulated me on my new family addition. I brought in my dog a few days later, and my dog was introduced to both veterinarians. They were warm and helpful with my list of questions. I look forward to our next visit in a few weeks for our next series of vaccinations. Thank you to all the new people we met!

I have lived in the area for about 10 years and have gone to HAH since I arrived.
They are in a great location - near the center of town but not close enough for you to have to fight traffic to get there. They are also next to the tennis house and one of the elementary schools, so if you are trying to get in a lot - HAH is in a great location for drop-offs and pick-ups.
I love the staff, from the reception, to techs, to the vets. There are three vets who are available various days, such that they rotate from surgery to taking appointments.
They recently renovated and the place looks fantastic. Open reception area so those with nervous or overly friendly pets won't have to worry about having trouble with others'.
They are a small animal facility, but I have heard about them helping with some wild animals from the nature center.
My nephew likes coming because they have little toys and stickers to keep the kids occupied, and they have parakeets that live there and the staff encourages everyone to visit them.
The whole group is very professional without being too clinical. They are all approachable and helpful.

They aren't open overnight, Saturdays after 12, or Sundays. They do give out a lot of information about the nearest emergency hospital which is open when this clinic isn't.

Overall - I love coming here, I even got my third cat from here (someone had dropped off a bunch of kittens they hadn't been expecting), and I will continue to take my own pets here and recommend them.

PROS: Convenient location, great staff, clean facility, informative
CONS: Often busy - but that's a good sign right?
