When I first moved to Simsbury seven years ago, I selectively shopped at Andy's. I found decent prices on a few dairy products, canned goods and condiments. However, the produce, meat, and fish have been consistently below par.
Be very careful to check the expiration date on packages because Andy's does NOT take outdated items off their shelves. Beware of packaged produce because the underside may be rotten.
With it being so close to Fitz, Andy's tries to cater to not only the usual shopper, but also the one with very specific needs. They have a lot of natural, organic, and otherwise specialized foods. I often see a lot of Atkins products on the shelves, so if you are doing that - Andy's is your store.
I think what I like the most is their Ready-to-eat meals. They have a wonderful salad bar, delicious soups, and great main dishes (try the brisket - it is among the best i've hade - homemade or not). They also have a frequent-diners card, so when you get soup or a meal, you can punch your card.
Like Fitz, the store is a little small so they can't offer everything that a larger supermarket would have, but the previous offerings are wonderful to have right in town.
PROS: Great hot meals, salad bar, and soup, also many specialized foods
CONS: a bit small so limited selection for non-basic foods.
