Very poor. More than Stoves installed a fireplace insert. The difficulty doing business with them was less than a professional. I could live with their poor business practice of not taking ownership of anything they did wrong....but, they installed the wrong type of fireplace. I have propane and More Than Stoves installed a natual gas insert.

More? More aggravation is all you get.

This year I needed a new cover and lifter for my Jacuzzi Spa.

My wife purchased a Covermate hydraulic lifter and cover from More than Stoves. The rest is a nightmare.

The cover lifter is plastic and literally melted in the sun this summer. When we contacted More than Stoves. They said they were not responsible and I needed to contact the manufacturer. After much aggravation, and since there was a recall on the lifter (Covermate). More than Stoves agreed to replace the defective unit. They only replaced certain parts and again, the problem reoccurred.

They are nonresponsive and insulting in communications. I would never purchase anything from them again.

Buyer beware of More than Stoves - the "More" is more agravation and headaches.

We purchased a pellet stove from this company 4 years ago. I have complained every season that I smell smoke when the stove is in use. Of course when they do come they fire up the stove and say, well, its always smells like smoke during the first fireup. HELLO I can leave on for days and I still smell smoke, especially upstairs. Last year I purchased 3 CO detectors in panic. I contacted the manufacturer of the stove and they said I should definitely not be smelling smoke, to check the connections. More than Stoves comes back out again and tells me that the chimney pipes and cap were not installed properly and that he has never seen such a thing. He (in front of me) calls the owner and he says "don't tell her that" I could hear him say that and even the tech had told me that after as well. He did what the owner told him to do, caulk all around the cap and hopefully this will resolve the issue. NOT. I turned the stove on for the first time this season earlier in the week and I still smell smoke.
I am at a loss. With the rebates being offered, I am wondering if now would be a good time to replace even though there is technically nothing wrong with the stove itself. DEFINITELY NOT FROM MORE THAN STOVES!

Buyers Beware!! Stay away from this company as their customer service is horrible! The owner will never admit that something is not working right and hollers at their customers, if they ever get back to them at all. The pellet stove that we bought from them has not worked properly since the day it was installed. They constantly blame the customer for improper maintenance, instead of owning up to the fact that the stove was just a mellon to begin with. With the sale of pellet stoves on the rise, do your research and homework and stay away from this company!! If you do your research you will see that many customers have had various problems with this company. Their reputation of being combative has preceded them from many other people. If you do business with this company you will be disatisfied and completed frustrated!! Look at complaints from the Business Bureau, the watchdog consumer column in the Hartford Courant and various other search engines like yellowpagescom etc. Word of mouth is the best advertising and in this case, their reputation is not a favorable one!
