I had a Living Social certificate to Mr. Smiths. I arrived at 6 and the waitress rudely told me that she could not accept it because it was happy hour. I told her I would pay full price. She said that she couldn't change the computer. Rude the entire time. Food was cold. Beer was warm. Not worth it.

A few of us met up there for drinks before a show at the 9:30 club and had a miserable experience. It seriously took 15 minutes for a waitress to come to our table to get a drink order. The bartender refused to give us drinks since we were officially in a server's section. Our waitress was extremely rude, slow and just bad at her job over all. We tipped her well (two of us at the tables were veteran servers and bartenders), but we won't be back.

I don't recommend this place AT ALL!

Mr. Smith's won my heart by remaining solidly ordinary in the face of all the fancy bars and restaurants opening in Georgetown. Want a place with dark wood, quality drafts, and a piano man playing for lots of drunk young professionals? This is your place. (The crowd sings along on really crowded weekend nights, so be ready to go along or cling to the bar instead). They also have a lovely courtyard out back for those who come to actually have a square meal. All in all, it's a comfortable place to drop in and have a few drinks.
