Great place to see live music - great selection of acts, find my self there twice a month the last few years. get the parking pass when you buy tickets, $20+ to park in any of the lots around the venue. GREAT selection of beer, different selection at each bar. friendly staff. been around a long time so they know what they're doing!

I have been to the 930 on many occasions. This is a great venue to check out some local music as well as see the big acts when they come to town. Tickets can be bought online for most events. The inside is moderatly big, not the biggest club but it is not too small either. There is a full service bar for those over 21, as well as some things to eat, but it always seems too pricey for me. Seating is very good here, incase you don't feel like standing and watching the music. The club also has a safe feel. I really enjoy going here to see my favorite rock artists.

PROS: Good location, nice interior
CONS: Pricey foods

This is a fine place to see live music. The stage is adjustable so that smaller crowds can still give the place a fulled-up feeling. There is a balcony. Great interior design allows for good sight and hearing lines all over. Good beer selection too.

The 930 Club is a good, reliable place to see the bigger rock acts that come through DC. It's easy to get a good view of the band--come early and snag a place up front, or head up to the balcony and get a view above the crowd below. There are bars on the ground floor and balcony, and the balcony also offers coffee drinks. Ticketmaster charges their usual exorbitant fees, so go to the box office at 930 for a ticket without the markup. Parking is scarce around here--public transportation or taxis are a good idea.

The 9:30 Club is as decent as you are going to get for the price charged for a particular band. It is spacious and the acoustics are good. It is not a large spot but the intimacy of the venue suggests getting closer to your favorite artist.

Pros: INEXPENSIVE, SPACY, DARK ATMOSPHERE

The 9:30 Club isn't really a bar, it's music venue. You won't go there for the food or drinks or just to hang. You go there to see a touring band you like. And it's probably the best place in DC to see a band. Great accustics for a club holding maybe 300-500 people max. You can get up next to the stage and get hit by sweat from the band or go to the balconey and look down on the band. The one thing you can't do is sit down, so expect to stand all night. Try to buy tickets in advance at its website because it often sells out.
