I just don't get it. Maybe I'm too picky when it comes to pizza pie, but when I went to 2 Amy's on a date a few weeks back, I just didn't understand the appeal.

First off, the place was packed and there was a wait at 9:30 PM on a Tuesday. I can look over this if the food is batcrazy amazing, but it wasn't. The crust was soggy and basically dripping in sauce juice. Gross. I like my pizza crust crispy and buttery. This was a sad, soggy mess.

2 Amy's has a full bar and all, which is great, but the drinks weren't mixed well. Also, stay away from the appetizers unless you want food poisoning. Many of the items just hang out in the open air and they looked a little worse for wear.

I get that 2 Amy's is a great place to be seen around Washington, D.C. If that's the true appeal of this place, then order a beer at the bar and eat elsewhere.

Pros: Elite crowd

Cons: Crowded, food's not great

Let's be honest, D.C. isn't New York City and the pizza options can leave a lot to be desired. Luckily for Glover Park, 2 Amy's is the needed relief from Domino's delivery or the standard "Margherita Pizza" that seems to grace every menu in the city. The pizza menu is extensive and if you still can't find something to satisfy your cravings, you can create your own. 2 Amys also has a full bar and a unique offering of beers and ales. The only drawback is that there is usually a wait to be seated. After dinner, skip dessert and head over to Something Sweet across the street.

Pros: Warm ambiance, unique pizza offerings

Cons: Sometimes a long wait for a table

2 Amys is hands down one of DC's culinary gems. Amazing pizza, fantastic apperitivi selction, delicious and expansive wine collection, and amazing doughnuts.

After recently moving from Chicago, it was time to pick my new favorite pizza in the new city - this time, thin crust. Of the several we've checked out thus far, Two Amy's come in first. The atmosphere is urban happy, a bit loud but that provide some energy. The pizzas are amazing, though - fresh, high quality ingredients and interesting combos. I'll be back many times.

I've just moved from Europe and am not so impressed with the quality of Two Amys...although I think many people don't share my opinion. I was expecting a bit better atmosphere too - it was loud inside and we couldn't really have a great conversation during dinner. The inside is very informal and is not what I expected with the way everyone raves about the restaraunt.

The pizza here is made with really fresh ingredients and the combination of toppings is creative. It's the only place I know of that makes a pizza meeting DOCG specifications. Be prepared to wait an hour or more for a table. The small bar in the back is spotty - sometimes the service is great, sometimes the bartender completely ignores you and it takes half an hour to get a drink. If you can manage to get served, the bar has some great small plates while you wait.

Two Amys serves the bet pizza in the District. No joke, their ingredients are fresh and pizza's cooked to perfection. All the locals know where to go and its always 2Amys for pizza. Moderately priced.

The pizza is as close to pizza from Italy as you will find around here. The prices are reasonable also. The pizza is the perfect size, and the toppings are wonderful. I recommend this place very highly! You will not be disappointed!

The pizza's are the perfect size for one person and reminds me of pizza's you get in Italy. They also have a good selection of wine and you can sit in the back at the wine bar.
