I spent $317 on frames on the 25 of March and was told my glasses would be in either that coming Friday, which was only three days away or that upcoming Monday. I heard nothing so on my way home from work at about 5:00pm on Monday afternoon I went into the shop. I waited around for about 15 minutes, missed my train home and then was told that they were unable to even locate my order. I had the receipt for $317, where was my order. The money had already even been debited out of my account. Finally after an additional 20 minutes they were able to locate the order and in fact had no idea why the frames were not there yet. I left, in order to catch the last train I could get home. Ten minutes later I was phoned by Optical Images only to be told that they had found out that the glasses were on back order until the 14th of April. They asked if I wanted to come pick out another frame. No, I did not. I had already sat there for 2 hours trying frames on and those were the ones that I wanted. My order NEVER should have been taken if the frames were that difficult to get. I should have been offered a refund at that time. I was not. I wanted those frames and was going to wait for them. I heard nothing on the 14th of April so I called Optical Images myself, yet again. I was told that they were due in that day and they were still waiting on them. I heard nothing by the time I had to catch a train home. I then called again on the 15th only to be told the exact same story, that "they were due in today". I said I was told that yesterday and was told they would call me when they did in fact arrive. I just called back, on the 16th of April, and spoke with the owner, who said, guess what, "Well they were due in today and we are expecting more shipments today". I again said I had already been told this. He told me that this is just how it is with big designer companies. I said I would like to be refunded if they were not in fact in by Friday, allowing for an additional 4 days from the date promised. He told me a refund would not be given as it states so on the receipt. I said that was fine, I would wait until Friday and then dispute it with my credit card company. He said that was fine and hung up on me!!!
Great customer service by the owner of a small business. He obviously did not care if I ever came back there to spend an additional $317 on another pair of frames or how I felt about my experience there period. Thanks, for NOTHING. I will either have my Christian Dior $317 frames in my hand by Friday afternoon or a refund via Visa, that much I'm sure of.

I sat for about two hours in the middle of the shop. The owner brought me pair after pair of glasses to try on, listened to every single concern I had, without ever exerting the slightest bit of sales pressure. He was just as courteous and polite to every other customer who came in. They're also very willing to offer insurance discounts, even if they don't accept your insurance. Best customer service I've had at an eyeglass store. They have a very "European" selection of frames, lots of Scandinavian designs, fresh and sleek.
