I used to love going to Lulu's, especially when they would have intern night on Thurs over the summer but that was ages ago. The few times I've been back on Sat nights the music is too loud or like techno. When they are playing hip hop music its usually pretty good.

Lulu's has gone a little downhill over the past few years. It used to have great happy hour specials--dollar drafts and and dollar appetizers. They have new owners or managers or something, and now its $2 instead of $1--still not a bad price. However, at night, the club is very hit or miss. Oftentimes, it has $10 cover charge for everyone, even patrons over 21, which I think is pretty lame. But, it is the largest club in DC, with over 5 dance floors and 2 levels, and if there is a big party going on, it might be worth it.

I love Lulu's not because I'm a Georgetown grad and we throw many parties there...I love Lulu's because I'm a New Orleanian at heart (born just outside the city). Lulu's offers a courtyard bar experience comparable to that found in the NO, and it's rooms seem to sample various NO club venues, including the House of Blues on Decatur. Go..you'll enjoy!

Lulu's is one of my favorite happy hours in DC but not a place I frequent at night. Their often ignored happy hour specials used to include $1 beers and select appetizers five days a week. They have since raised their prices to a whopping $2- still a solid deal for downtown DC. At night, Lulu's is an entirely different environment. An 18+ bar/club, Lulu's is packed to the gills with drunk college students spread throughout an enormous dance floor. The drinks are expesive, the music is loud and the girls are young. If thats your scene, you'll feel right at home.

Decided to try this place out as it looked inviting from the outside as we've passed a few times. In short the service was extremely poor and food was so-so. With many open tables on a Saturday evening, our party of four waited 10-15
