Many people think that GW doesn't have a campus because it is an "urban" college. In my opinion, this is not the case. It's nothing like the campus of Rutgers or University of Alaska, but it does have a quad, a Fraternity Row, and many other things that suburban campuses have. Plus, once you wander out of GW's "jurisdiction", you KNOW that you're off campus.

The social life is pretty good. GW was rated the #2 party school in the US by US News & World Report in 1997-1998. There are many fraternity parties, although a lot of the fraternities on campus are now "dry". Beyond Greek life, there are many clubs, museums, and other places to be entertained.

The academics are relatively tough. Of course, it all depends on the professors you get. If you are interested in medicine, engineering, or politics, this is the place for you.

PROS: Right in the heart of DC; Never at a lack for things to do; Great reputatio
CONS: EXPENSIVE, urban campus
