I had a pretty bad experience with Plumbline and would recommend against hiring the company.
Plumbline came to my house on two separate days to replace some horizontal galvanized-steel pipes that had become badly corroded. The first visit involved a full day of work, and I was charged $1,365, which I found acceptable. The workers came back a second day to finishone pipe was still leaking. They worked an hour and 15 minutes to replace a 3-foot pipe, for which they charged us $800. We asked for a breakdown of the cost: $125 was for materials, and $675 was for labor.
A cost of $675 for 75 minutes of labor is obviously unreasonable. That works out to exactly $9 per minute.
The contractor and a member of the office staff explained their labor charges to me by saying labor is based on a flat fee determined by the plumber, not based on any per-hour premium: Thats just how we do it.
I asserted that the work was overpriced, and I asked for a partial refund. They declined to give me a refund of any amount. Plumbline maintained that a $675 labor charge on a job that required 75 minutes of work was definitely fair.
Granted, there was no breech of contract here and nothing illegal. Our mistake was that my wife signed the work order for them to begin before we had a chance to dispute the estimate. The contractor left shortly after dropping off the workmen and the estimate; he was supposed to call me back but never did. As any homeowner knows, theres unspoken pressure to let workers start a job once theyve arrived (you dont want to waste their time; its hard to reschedule; youve already taken the day off work; a leaky pipe isnt something you want to wait even longer to fix) and these confrontations can be difficult for a person like my wife who isnt familiar with these types of jobs.
The below review is correct that Plumbline is overpriced. They arrive at their prices arbitrarily and apply them unreasonably.

I had two facets checked for pressure. The only problem was calcium deposits blocking the nozzle. The guy fixed this in about 2 minutes. I still paid through the nose. $285 per half hour. Also, said they would come at noon. Waited until 4:30, called them and finally show up at 6:00pm.
