i just took my small kid at 10.pm in night and waited that long at "emergency ward" for such long. Already there were so much of crowd and they did not even tell when we would be allowed to enter and also no proper method of seeing the doctor. ofcourse we finally went there by 3.00 in the am to meet the doctor finally. they can be much more fast having lots of doctors.

After having tried the clinic at the main Children's Hospital in DC and been horrified at the 4 hours (not kidding here) it took for my son to get all his shots at his 15-month-old checkup, I switched to this neighborhood clinic for his 18-month appointment. The pros were that it is quite close to our house, we eventually found free on-street parking (for only 2 hours, though - I spent the last 1/2 hour sweating out the ticket I luckily didn't get) as opposed to having to pay through the nose for the garage at the hospital, and the resident intern was very nice once we finally got to see her. Oh yes, and the wait was a mere 2 1/2 hours. Still, though, I absolutely dreaded a return visit, and finally switched to a doctor in SIlver Spring. I'd rather spend a little extra time on the road and a LOT less time in the waiting room. (It's less germy in my truck, and we have better toys.)

PROS: Resident intern was nice, affiliation w. major hospital good
CONS: Crowded, long wait, understaffed, street parking iffy
